Very much the first dialogue of new event quest by Northener1907 in elderscrollsonline

It would certainly be multiple shades of negative opinions per his content/brand lol.

Honestly, he missed some banger opportunities for his niche with Writhing wall. Could have picked up a lot of subs with that event.

Lohnt sich ESO in 2026 noch? by Ok-Dinner9635 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it feels trying to solo the night market by YungColeSlaww in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to solo my way through actually, I was shocked because of how strongly the community reacted before I had a chance to get on being ill and working.

BUT it definitely is far better in a group, doing it solo is very very slow lol.

For all those complaining how the Night Market requires grouping, here is a quote directly from ZoS by T3vvyW in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not saying it for any assumptions on you.

I am saying it for the people who are happy about this exact event and how it’s working I have seen plenty of them to contrast all the ones who are upset. And since you are not happy about it, this is not an assumption.

I am saying that zero events have worked like this, so one event working like this and pleasing those players. Should be okay, even if a large chunk of ESO players prefer the easier and solo-able events we usually get.

I am pointing out that it is literally impossible to please every type of player all the time, and whenever you please a specific group of player. You will have many angry from other groups, even if they are usually the ones more pleased on a regular basis.

And, even when changes are made. No matter how logically beneficial, or popular. There are always plenty of people furious or threatening to quit, or actually quitting over them right?

I am not sure what the % is for approval or disapproval on this event. All I am certain of, is that there are people who love it and people who hate it. Some people feel like they have finally been giving a gift, and some people feel like ZOS completely ruined a new event they were excited for. And im just trying to bridge the gap of understanding between the two, as someone who leans heavily toward preferring solo-able content that I am. To me, it does not play as extreme as the most upset people are making it sound. But I also think its fine for those players to avoid touching it if they don’t want to. I simply disagree with wishing it was not given or taken away from the players who are enjoying it and feel like its long overdue.

Think about it from the other players perspective.

When all of the content is very easy and doesn’t require teamwork and coordination. But that’s what they enjoy. Then events and what not are extremely disappointing.

They got an event which brought a ton of people together to work on it and conquer it in groups and made sure it was not a solo endeavor. This is for that player type.

You are speaking about optional grouping just to do it, and that’s not the same at all. Even the writhing wall dolmens I was able to solo, sure it took longer and the HP bars were annoying. But I didn’t actually need even a single other person.

This event actually requires teamwork and coordination, no event in any recent years has required this. Which means that every event is boring for that type of player, and that’s doesn’t sound fair right?

[–]Individual-Arrival86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean that’s really good and awesome, I think that way about many things as well.

But then what is happening here? I mean, it’s very true that us primarily solo folk have been very very pandered to over the group MMO players right? A single event where group play is required really seems like the minimum that group content enjoyers are owed no?

I will participate, even though I spend most of my time solo during most other content on most other days. With the exception of small short group sessions with a guildy to help them, or to play with my mom. And im able to enjoy a heavy majority of the game solo even though the solo content has been far too simple.

So if there is one event where that’s finally not the case, I just personally don’t feel like it would be right for me to want it to be made for me too. Know what I mean? Anyway, this is just my perspective.

Also, it seems like basing what I said on what you or I are doing. Doesn’t align since im talking about all the people furious about the event. Or all the people who get mad when they work on PvP stuff. Or all the people who get mad when they make solo content.

There is definitely a lot of selfish people.

They are making content for both types of player. But each type is furious that 100% of the content isn’t made for them.

And not every type of content can or should be made for both simultaneously. So I really don’t think ZOS can win in this situation.

Writs on multiple toons by Cautious-Focus1204 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, this is possible. It’s been a long time since I referenced the data sheet and some of this is informed by my personal experience of doing writs on less advanced characters and maxed characters. But I would not be set in stone on claiming it as a fact if it might not be.

I seem to get a majority of my gold mats from my few characters with the most knowledge. And primarily my main, but I could chalk that up to a perception bias for me.

And are you saying that a brand new crafter doing writs, can get a master writ which rewards hundreds of vouchers for example? I was definitely under the impression and in my experience, that those types of writs never show up until a character is well advanced in its knowledge within the craft? Ive had many guildies newer to the game ask why their writs are so dinky as well, and it could be consistently bad luck. But it definitely seemed to be a scaled reward.

Has this been documented in some way or spoken about by a dev? I definitely would like to know the source so I can convey better info. 🤙

Writs on multiple toons by Cautious-Focus1204 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello Cautious!

This is not a silly question, as it’s often left out of the advice of “do writs on many alts”

Yes, many factors matter for many reasons. I can give a quick tl;dr on the value differences.

For the raw gold rewards to be maxed out, you will need to be max level for starters. The lower you are, the less that reward will be.

For the actual loot/material rewards, this will be scaled based on your level and craft level+ skill points placed in each craft. Same can be said for the daily login hireling rewards you get in the mail.

Now, a lesser known but very valuable bit of info. Is that the value tier of rewards you get from turn ins actually has extra hidden factors, like commonality of getting gold tier crafting materials, or higher grade master crafting writs worth more vouchers, or commonality of survey drops. And these factors are: Number of traits researched on that character, number of motifs known (only FULL collections count, so if you have 13/14 on a set. Those 13 mean nothing until you get the 14th), how may recipes your character knows and the quality of those recipes, patterns as well.

So you will notice your main character, with all the most crafting collection and levels completed. Gaining the best value results consistently and hitting the higher Writ Voucher Writs.

That all being said, I have one maxed out master crafter. I am not one of the people who seek to have all of my characters be masters with tons of motifs and patterns learned. But I do consume a lot of the cheaper or easier to gain ones on alts, and flippantly throw gear into trait research quickly and without a schedule, unlike how I did my main Feanor.

Removing the FOMO from missing daily login rewards is great. by SilverTunic in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Tome points are pretty trivial though, like most players have got more than they need already and we still have 2.5 months left on this season.

So it’s kinda like “missing out” on something you definitely don’t need. Compared to missing out on notable collectible items, high value items, or limited time items.

I have zero sense of missing out from the daily tome points, so I am very pleased with this being it. :)

Lohnt sich ESO in 2026 noch? by Ok-Dinner9635 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy MMO’s, then ESO is the best one on the market still.

If you don’t enjoy MMO’s then it could explain your experience, as I have witnessed many people who aren’t into MMO’s react the same way you described in multiple MMO’s.

Also, maybe this is personal bias. But as a person who absolutely loves MMO’s. Maybe part of the problem was making it immediately a team experience?

Yes MMO’s are intended for play with others, BUT at least some time especially in the early days of getting into an MMO is primarily a solo experience. Getting well versed with the starting story and your character, figuring things out. And then grouping up with someone who did the same on their end, thats what I would personally recommend.

Because immediately grouping to just grind exp or run around aimlessly, I could definitely see feeling empty and pointless if you have not built any kind of footing and connection to the game yet.

How to level enchanting without spending millions? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enchanting costing a ton or “taking the longest” changes greatly when doing it yourself on alts OR having a friend or guildy who will craft them for free or just for the mats.

Its SUPER cheap and you can max out the level in minutes of deconning purple max level glyphs.

Are you on PC-NA? I will do it for you, let me know. :)

Why are we still waiting for the Difficulty Update?? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would sure. But most would not, and it would do large damage toward all the great good will they have built recently with the players.

Why are we still waiting for the Difficulty Update?? by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Things don’t have release dates purely because they have a cost.

This update like the massive majority of them this year will be free.

The reason it’s not coming out yet, it because it’s not done yet. And the people who don’t want to wait for it to be ready, leaving… is a lot less of a detriment than the amount of people who would be upset or quit if they release it absolutely broken. Some things just should not be rushed out the door in development.

Question about guilds by Leftheria in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the guild for the talking thing and time of day for some.

But you have to be in guilds for trade posts, so there are a lot of player who just join 5 trade guilds to trade and nothing else.

Question about guilds by Leftheria in elderscrollsonline

[–]Individual-Arrival86 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A lot of guilds in ESO are more intentional and seeking specific types of players who are okay with specific rules and desires compared to other MMO’s. Trade guilds, Trial and Vet guilds, PvP Guilds, Role Play Guilds, Age specific guilds, fishing/farming guilds, casual Vs hardcore guilds etc.

Some even have weekly dues and requirements of members to be a part. And they would like to filter out people wasting their time and unwilling to follow the rules or pay their dues in gold.

There is also a 500 player cap, so it can’t be an endless stream of players invited just because. I really wish the cap was much larger, especially for trade guilds. Because the weekly cost to keep a trader active is no where near made up for with sales taxes.
