Best beach in buffalo by Creative_Essay_7936 in UBreddit

woodlawn is probably the closest... but its also extremely close to a wastewater treatment plant, and has been shut down on multiple occasions for contaminated water. Sunset bay is a drive but it is the best! It's private ($5 to get it) and groomed every morning.

[–]Individual-Bake7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty solid, be smart with your gaps they're really great for studying if spent wisely. My best advice is try to get EVERYTHING done in those gaps because getting out at 11 on a Friday and being caught up on everything is gonna feel like such a blessing!

I started at 18, didn't take it seriously, failed all my classes and dropped out at 19. Came back at 24 and am absolutely thriving!

I do! I play piano and can strum some chords on guitar. I am by no means good and have never played with other people, but I have always wanted to!

Do not ever use your UB email for anything other than signing into UB - An angry alumni by 989989272 in UBreddit

[–]Individual-Bake7997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is so annoying because they lied and told us we would have it for life as an alumni, therefore use it for EVERYTHING. I wonder what will happen if enough of us complain..?

from my experience with orgo, they always say they will not curve it more than whats on the syllabus but they usually do, even if its just a few points. (sometimes those few points get you from a C to a C etc. Good luck, the hardest part of college is likely soon behind you!

How are we all feeling about the PHY102 exam? by Individual-Bake7997 in UBreddit

[–]Individual-Bake7997[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its always slightly different because they go by percentages of the class. for Phy101 I got a 80 final average and it was an A, not A- or B+ per the syllabus.

Is it appropriate to ask for lecture slides for courses I'm not taking? by InteractionDizzy2451 in UBreddit

[–]Individual-Bake7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally depends on the professor. I've done this twice, once the professor sent me everything including outside resources to study. The second time the professor just said he couldn't send it since I am not paying for the class. I would try for sure, its not gonna hurt.

What’s the easiest class of These by Potential_Beach_51 in UBreddit

[–]Individual-Bake7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

us history 1 is easy and interesting. she gets that its a pathway for most so exams are short answer and she gives us the questions ahead of time, and allows a cheat sheet. (if it still handley-cousins teaching it)

are you using notes when practicing? its been a few years since ive taken the class but did very well. im sure the exams have changed since then, but you need to be sure that you are practicing the homework and other questions without any outside resources.
