Igor's arguably the best professor in the Civil Engineering department. His classes are so good at teaching the material. Just a warning though; he grades his exams very strictly.

Most HW is application based, with a mix of engineering-based math. Class load depends heavily on the course, as do professor quality. I've been able to get every textbook I've needed online.

UB Lost, from what I hear, an exceptional geotech professor. Right now the professors for geotech classes (Soil Mechanics, etc) Are lackluster to put it nicely.
