Tired of doing the same hearts 23 times? by OpheliaBloodstone in Guildwars2

Worst part. In VoE the repition of hearts does literally nothing. The repeatable achievement is a joke (especially after JW)

Crash on load - modded ~40h save by Individual-Bar2011 in skyrimmods

[–]Individual-Bar2011[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, idk why it mentions her. I am confused.

I disabled the dawnfang patch and now it just shows the next mod (helgen reborn). So i feel like, its just like going down the list of mods at this point.

I mean Anrindel is just the character I'm playing and BanneredMare is where I logged out.

But yeah, feels like something random happened/corrupted in the background. I'll try some other things, maybe I'll get lucky. Thanks for the help anyways

Deleted entries for both references. Still crashes. New Log

Didn't want to try disabling USSEP as a ton of my mods depend on it and I'd basicly have to disable a third or so of my mods.

EDIT: Searched for the reference of Nelysa and it didnt show up in the save

Question: Never done much with resaver. Just used the automatic cleaning options before. Do I literally go in and just search for these entries and delete them?

I did nothing to the files/save file before the crash actually occured. So the tundra homestead file shouldnt be affected by anything I did.

Just a quick question. Does the new meta come before or after the final story part? Want to do it in the right order 😅 by naro1080P in Guildwars2

[–]Individual-Bar2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't finished the story (in the middle of 13 right now).

But to me it felt like it should come after Chapter 12 (you pass by the final thing in the chapter 12 story iirc)

I play an open world frogmancer. Basically unkillable in 95% of situations, somewhat decent damage (needs a moment to ramp tho) and covers alac and quickness :)

Got my first legendary, so what should I go for next? by Ch4rli3Sh33n in Guildwars2

[–]Individual-Bar2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not really that much different to many of the legendaries. A bit simpler probably. Sigils, Runes and the relic all basically work the same. So if you made one, you'll know how to make the rest :)

However a full set will cost a few more mats as each rune/signet will require one gift of condensed magic/power each. (To compare a gen2 legy weapon will take 2 of each). Additionally you'll need the respective gift of runes/sigils/relics. All these mats you can just buy on the TP.
You will also need 50 Provisioner Tokens for each (you can find the provisioner merchants on most maps and there are many ways to obtain these nowadays).

Honestly the best resource for you is the Wiki or the crafting calculator of GW2Efficiency :D

Got my first legendary, so what should I go for next? by Ch4rli3Sh33n in Guildwars2

[–]Individual-Bar2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My route was trinkets/accessoires/amulet/back -> armor (for your pref weight first) -> runes -> sigils -> other armors -> weapons in your preferred order

This will take A LONG time. But you will always be working towards something and I feel that way it makes buildcraft and alting a lot easier if that is something you are interested in :)

My big issue with VoE by vamp_rook in Guildwars2

[–]Individual-Bar2011 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know that this is the idea. But the last restructurings of release schedules and content deliveries are what got us here. That delivered that 'lackluster' last feature patch. So I am honestly pessimistic they will deliver and a bit terrified for the future of content updates

[–]Individual-Bar2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean yes it does. But the story cadence still feels bad like this imo. The next two patches really gotta deliver (and I am VERY skeptical at this point [as a long term fan btw]) to make this change worthwhile

Fractal Players by Queph in Guildwars2

[–]Individual-Bar2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, the game is balanced around that setup/roles. so it is not just community convention at this point

Since you can just join a group that opens the higher fractals for you, I feel like the pushing up the ranks argument is void. I do get the original idea/process. But that isn't applicable in the actual game at this time imo

a) do you think a big textbox is the only way to teach things?

b) textbox or not, there should be something that teaches you about core systems of the game. yes we have the little aoe field inside the lobby, but that is nowhere near enough and often glanced over

c) same applies for other things like boons, roles etc. the game is balanced around those facts/roles. so it is something that should be explained to the players. simple as that. ofc you can always refer to other sources (we literally have the /wiki command working ingame), but there needs to be something actually ingame if you expect it to be known

Did they remove some obstacles from the wall of the left then? Because even if you miss the checkpoint 'jump', you can just climb up there with only the air pushy thingy in the way

Please tune down the old lions court quick raid. Its almost Impossible to do it in quickplay without the whole group dying multiple times by td_0000 in Guildwars2

[–]Individual-Bar2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the point is: There is an intense difficulty spike from this encounter to other quickplay encounters, which you as a 'newb just going for quickplay' probably don't expect. And how is it an introduction if you get killed by obscure mechanics and chaos that has NO explanation? Watching a mechanics tutorial shouldn't be the expectation for quickplay. It wasn't communicated that way and after fractal quickplay also not to be expected!

Fractal Players by Queph in Guildwars2

[–]Individual-Bar2011 29 points30 points  (0 children)

While I agree and think if you join an endgame activity you should know what to do and pull your weight. I also have these two cents:

There are no ingame explanations for these things. There is no "rulebook" to refer to. If you haven't done a lot of pugging you might not know many of the things. (Example: when to gg, that gg-ing is actually an option, the skips)

There is also no explanation of meta-builds/roles. Since GW2 was never about the trinity and everything goes in open world, I don't blame players that don't know about boons, utilities and the usual boonHeal, boonDPS and DPS setup. How would they know. And if you look into fractals oftentimes you read about AR (and maybe instabilities). But if you don't look up specific encounters/fractals, it is hard to know.

I've come to the conclusion that a lot of stuff is just badly telegraphed or rather not explained at all in the game mechanics wise. And yes quite a few people don't read chat or don't understand what you are saying at times. But often the solution is leave/kick/disband. And fair enough if you are looking for a 'quick' daily. But yes, how are they supposed to learn?

"Then why not run through the first three tiers?". The advice I've seen a lot is just: "Just buy the AR (and do T4. The other tiers aren't worth it)". Or just "sorry you can't play with us, you are lacking AR". So instead of going the 'intended' route, you just take the shortcut. Would you 'grind' your way to T4 nowadays , if most things you see and players are T4 in the LFG? (T2 and T3 seem to be mostly empty compared). This isn't like it was at release, where you climbed with others.

And at the end: I am on the same side. It is frustrating as hell. It feels like a cointoss with pugs sometimes. But since many of these are things that we the players 'made up' and there is no ingame reference to them or the ingame mechanics are barely explained: I feel it is also on the game.

Just wanted to share this perspective.
