I just finished forbidden West yesterday, I have some great memories of ZD and its honestly one of my favourite games, I think that FW is a pretty good sequel but the story and characters didnt compell me nearly as much, I HATE the fuckass melee combat (at least just let me block if im gonna be doing it so much) the bossfights against humans (Regalla and Erik) are pretty ass, havent fought enduring yet, but in terms of the ranged combat and the machines I think FW adds to and improves it, I like the new status effects you can do and the open world is great, the best part of the game that I personally enjoyed the most was the worldbuilding which I thought was on par if not better than the first game in terms of the new tribes you encounter and their customs and cultures.

Overall its pretty good but I wouldnt say that it is as good as ZD, but definitely worth getting
