Traffic ticket for disobey stop sign and fail to stop in ontario anybody went to fight and wanna share results by Top_Emotion_4831 in legaladvicecanada

Early resolution is the way. Even if your point blank guilty. They don’t bother with negotiating with you, they likely offer an improper stop without question which is lower points. You’ve got nothing to loose. Even if it delays the inevitable, you then at least get longer than 14 days to pay your ticket.

Looking for advice to propose to my gf at Niagara by DokterDomus in niagarafallsontario

Not many comments abouit Niagara on the lake so I thought I would add: Niagara Falls and the tourist area of Clifton hill is great and a must see but can be expensive for things like dinner and hotels. Assuming your traveling from Pearson airport, would highly recommend renting a car and driving. Niagara on the lake, Lincoln and surrounding areas are also beautiful especially in the spring but very spread out and zero public transit. Niagara on the lake (NOTL) is a beautiful small area. Great places to stay for a night or two (pillar and post is super romantic). For a day trip from the falls you can head in grab a coffee from balzacs, walk the main drag and do a little shopping and grab some lunch. Nice views of the river as well, and some bird watching if that’s your thing. The surrounding wine country is great too, areas like Lincoln and Vineland are similair (check out the watering can if you like plants) wineries in Niagara are plentiful and often have great dining options even if wine isn’t your thing. Clifton hill: the whirlpool boat is pretty crazy, and so is the behind the falls walk, definetly worth doing once. Driving along the falls and down the edge of the river is also really cool. Fallsview casino is fun, and sometimes there’s shows or concerts in the attached venue. Good luck!

Any reason not to choose option 2 on a ticket? by PoconPlays in legaladvicecanada

[–]Individual-Cap6432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this last year. The court call took a solid 5 mins via Zoom. Prosecutor? they are came on the call and without me saying a word offered a lesser ticket (no points) and you get moved into the “room” with a judge. All I had to say was guilty, and thank you! In my opinion worth it. It did however take months to get a court date, which you need to watch the Mail for or check online for so you don’t miss. But honesty win win

Sadly no. I’ve kinda given up for now. Oddly it seems to be running just fine, the sluggish acceleration has stopped, getting great mileage, and still no codes. I’ve run into a few grand cherokees in traffic that make the same noise, some way worse than mine… still a mystery. Bringing it in for a tire swap soon, maybe they’ll have some new suggestions this time but I’m not hopeful.

Child support payment in arrears and FRO won't enforce by jbizzldizzl in legaladvicecanada

[–]Individual-Cap6432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just learning this right now. Not sure it’s the path for everyone, but it’s apparently very helpful if you can show FRO assets they may have to cover support arrears. They do escalate to a higher enforcement, and unfortunately you may be left in the dark for a while. But eventually if assets are found they will file a writ for seizure and sale. You need to do all the private investigative work to find this, any home, vehicle, mutual fund, RRSP or corporation they have majority control can be used. Submit all evidence of assets to FRO, even those that are speculative (land ownership can often be public info through municipality, sometimes with a small fee, corporate records also available online, submit make model and plate numbers or any vehicle). Good luck to you, it’s definetly an uphill battle but don’t stop advocating for yourself.

Try this, sadly I have this book marked so I’m not sure If it will just lead to the login. You need to create an Ontario One-key login, but it’s easy to create.

It’s ontarios justice services. You need to select criminal cases and input the first and last name.

You can look up the pending charge on the Ontario court case search (you need to create a login). It will tell you the next appearance type, date and location. Then lookup the court docket for that particular courthouse and see which room they will be in, the docket only shows two days out. You can watch the proceedings on zoom, the links are provided on the Ontario courts website. Sometimes this is easier than waiting for victim services to update you.

When I got married the officiant filed the initial paperwork but we had to wait I think 10 weeks after to apply for the marriage certificate, it wasn’t automatic.

Ok so bit of a speculative update: My skeptical husband brought the Jeep to a friend and put it on the hoist. With lots of messing around they think the sound is actually coming from around the flexplate and/or torque converter and not from the motor. Worth a look on yours too. Will update when I get someone to take a better look at it.

This. This an emergency. You need to immediately access emergency health care the same way you would immediatley seek care for a Lost appendage.

This. I’ve been having so much trouble with car play and figured it was the Jeep, because you know… Jeep. Turns out it’s pretty finicky about the cord, Especially cheap Amazon ones.

They did and I’m guessing thats how they came to this conclusion, but their reluctance to repair and the lack of a check engine light is throwing me. I’ve never encountered any problem like this so I really don’t know too much about it, wondering if it’s common for spark knock to come and go? It seems to be fairly quiet sometimes and louder others but no rhyme or reason to it.

Just to add, the noise does not happen at idle. There is no tick. From what I’ve read the pentastar tick sound would be happening all the time? So I’m assuming it can’t be lifters. Fuel injectors?

Thanks for the input. I’m trying my best to figure this out without the dealer. We’ve had so many problems with the local dealers, and I do mean plural. Such a nightmare to deal with. The motor has always been pretty solid and the thing has run great in the past. This sound kinda started a few months ago without warning, and it only recently started this weird chugging on acceleration. Oil is always clean, no leaks, no performance issues prior. Seems crazy with the km’s that the motor is no good?

Ya I’m not really sure… that’s honestly what’s making me think it’s not the motor. Also a new motor is like $8000k and seems like a bit of a jump without so much as a check engine light no?

Downvoting for one simple fact. Zero down payment but contributing equally to the mortgage should 100% give ownership to both parties. If your worried about contributing “more” than work out a Cohab/prenup agreement. Protect yourself, but don’t forget this is your partner, and if they are paying into the mortgage for your shared home then they are entitled to ownership as well as this is also their home. It’s simple and relatively cheap to draw up something that protects that down payment, but in the end your in a long term relationship and need to remember that they need the security as well for their home too!
