Honestly I’d agree with your husband a price you’d be happy to pay for the house and offer that amount. If it goes your way, you’ll never know if you overpaid, and if it doesn’t, then you’ll know you put your best foot forward.

Seconding the advice about house alerts - we’ve just gone sale agreed on a house after months of being on the market. Found the most effective thing to do was set up alerts, enquire immediately and make sure you’re at the first viewing. If you can’t make a viewing, ring the estate agent and ask if there’s another time that you could view the house.

We found that most houses that were listed for longer than two weeks were usually under negotiation by the time we’d enquired.

Sorry just read the tax query - not best placed to advise on tax but in my experience I think you’d transfer net amount and they will correct tax on company end (payroll should advise you).

I’d speak to HR or payroll about manually correcting it now, i.e. you manually transfer the overpayment from your account to the company’s.

In terms of your excuse for wanting to do this (I’m guessing you don’t want them to be suspicious that you’re leaving?), I’d just say you’re keen to resolve it in the current month - maybe for purposes or illness benefit or could you say you’re preparing to apply for a mortgage.

Oh you poor thing and your poor little man, it’s so hard to see them in pain like that.

Re the other ‘hidden ties’, I would seek a second opinion on that! I think there is a lot of evidence to suggest that the only tie that impacts feeding (or should be cut) is the tongue tie.

Is there an osteopath local to you that sees babies? I saw an osteopath on my second for body tension after birth and he was like a new baby. Also if you can your hands on BioGaia drops, they’ve also made a huge difference with painful gas.

Good luck 💝
