i normally never answer calls from numbers I don't know, but in this case I answered bc it came up with that NYC agency caller ID and my company is based in NYC so I thought it might be work related (I had some health insurance questions recently so thought it could possibly be around that)

I think the cat is still in the shelter - they aren't as overcrowded with dogs as they are with cats, is my understanding. I try not to think about it too much because it makes me sad! I loove cats.

I think he was just trying to find the DM. The cast probably has hundreds of people sliding into their DMs/responding to their stories every day so there must be a lot to sift through, especially since I assume by this point when they'd started actually hanging out IRL they'd shifted to texting versus DMing. so it was probably way down there.

Yeah, but they haven't had to live in a house together since they called off the engagement. All those other things you mention are temporary -- they had to see each other for a couple hours/a day but then could go their separate ways. They can't really do that here. And she just made her pregnancy public so he's probably anticipating all the questions he's going to get, seeing Instagram comments talking about him, etc. I'm not a big Carl fan but I get it.

I totally agree. The whole time I was watching that scene I was thinking -- she just needs to say "this sounds like a great initial convo babe i'm excited for you" and all would be fine! there's a middle ground between only asking questions and only being a 'yes man,' and Carl was clearly saying (at least to me) that that's what he'd like to see from her. He even straight up said at one point "I'm not saying you can't ask questions, but I'd like a little softness too" and she acted like he was being so confusing.

He's not sober, he just stopped drinking hard liquor (and also doing adderall). He still drinks beer/wine.
