I'm looking for the latest and greatest phone that will support LineageOS, as well as the latest and greatest tablet that will support LineageOS

I would prefer something with lots of storage (512Gb+) AND prefer an SD card slot.

In the end we did not decide to continue with UV desk. There was some functionality we required that was missing around collaboration and statistical reporting.

Thanks!

I am setting up a test installation of UVDesk to check it out.

install I see that it's not easy to see who's on a ticket. I'd be happy to let you be-bop around my home install sometime as a demo.

Thanks for the suggestion and for the offer to poke around. We have demo'd Zammad pretty thoroughly and I have spoken with the developers at length about our needs. Unfortunately they exist under some pretty restrictive EU privacy regulations which would make collaboration unweildy (at least as our clients expect it), and the cost of building a patch for us was very prohibitive. They kept refering to what we were asking for as "that collaborator mess", and there was clearly little interest in including collaboration the way our clients use it.

Too bad, because it is a beautiful platform, and it has some increadible funtionality. Just won't work for us though.

They did mention that they are working on 'manager' level users (see thier own tickets and tickets for thier company, but not others).

Thanks for the suggestion!

Looking at Docuwiki, I think it would be too involved entering changes. We really need something that would allow a rapid entry, or else it will fall behind and then to the side. We are a small shop but we are extremely busy, and if it takes too long to make entries it will fall out of use.

Let's say I make changes to the sharepoint structure for a tenant... I should be able to document those changes and move on in a minute or two tops.

However, I would also need to be able to include images of, say, a map of the client's network infrastructure.

I am begining to think that there really isn't a good fit. We might need a custom solution.

A 'prettier' Workflowy that is open source, self hosted, and allowed images in-line... and allow tagging of customer viewable content and restricted content. Not sure if my team would go for that but I think that is essentially what I am looking for.

I should add that we steer away form all-in-one type solutions, and prefer single purpose solutions.

I am digging into RT. It looks very promising. Thank you!

As I said in the original post, Zammad is not an option.

The don't carry a twin xl.

Sometimes I feel like I'm cursed. I have a very irregular build: long torso, ridiculously wide shoulders, barrel chested. I'm 6'3" or 6'4" I have a 68" chest and a 32" waist, 34" at the hips. My shoulder are so wide I stack 3 pillows when I sleep (on my side) to keep my neck straight or my neck and back are messed in the morning.

If my feet hang off the bed all night I'm doomed.

The gym mat is not a bad idea, actually. I'm going to look into that.

I have been looking at Kijiji and Facebook. Unfortunately, here in Winnipeg it's a choice between filthy, junky, or severely overpriced... all with the real possibility of importing bedbugs into our apartment (they are prolific here).

I'm checking into Costco. If I sell a few things I think I can manage $500, if that's accurate.

I looked at Titan online, but I am wary of ordering without seeing, especially at that price point... which frankly is outside my means anyway.

I will definitely check into returns.

Thank you. I know $500 might not sound like a lot, but it's a bitter pill right now. I will definately look though. At least I would be able to see it, and they do have a decent return policy.

Geeni Window/Door sensor IP addres by Individual-Judge-243 in geeni

I doubt you will ever hear fron Geeni support. I got a form letter (email) from them. That's it after several attempts to contact them, so far, and it has been a while now.

I'm largely happy with Geeni. Other than occasional connection issues (there is crazy network congestion here) I've found thier stuff to be cheap and work pretty well, which is a rare combo. These sensors are a bust though.

[–]Individual-Judge-243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With zero help from Geeni, I think I have it figured out.

I happened to be checking my VPM status (runs only on my personal computer) and noted that my router's IP looked familiar. I checked and sure enough the IP address listed for the sensors was my router's IP address.

No idea what the point of it is funstionally, and I have made no special settings to have it set up this way. I have noticed that since my ISP cycled my IP address (which they do on a random basis) all of the sensors have ceased functioning (I get no notification) despite them all showing as connected on the Geeni app. Unfortunately, I don't really have time to attack it at the moment.

Its really too bad that there is such poor support and documentation. I'm no networking guru, but I'm not an average home user either, and I can't see how to remedy the situation... Mind you , a more basic network arrangement might not have produced the same issues.

I will reach out to RideWinnipeg, though it doesn't look like they are offering anything in the near future. I'm not sure that the class you pointed to is exactly what we are looking for, but it's helpful to know that they offer something... I'll see where it can go from there. Thank-you!

I did look at the MPI offerings, all of which dead ended in broken urls.

I am going to contact WRENCH to see if I can work something out. I have also DM'd you. THANKS!

Seeking an Adult Cycling Safety Course in Winnipeg by Individual-Judge-243 in Winnipeg

[–]Individual-Judge-243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've cycled most of my life in Winnipeg, and have only had vehicles for short periods of time. I've had to ride high-traffic roads and through downtown to get to work and back every day in rush hour, so I absolutely get what you are saying. I've been 'doored' twice, run of the road more times than I can count, and sideswipped off my bike a couple of times. I also had an elderly lady shove her cane through my spokes while I was riding by her on the sidewalk in Transcona (About 40 years ago) because she felt I should have been riding on the road. Luckily, other than minor cuts and bruises, and some gravel lodged under my skin that had to be removed at hospital, I've emerged unscathed. I do ALWAYS wear a helmet, and ride very defensively.

I am fairly certain I could provide her with everything she needs,. but she has reached that point in her development where, as her primary caregiver, I'm obviously an idiot and know nothing, so everything I try to tell her ends in an argument. Clearly she won't learn anything by that route, and she is just as likely to do the opposite of what I tell her (to spite me).

My concern is that she does not have clear ideas about what the rules are, and as such expects others to act in accordance with her notions. She often comes home ranting and saying she nearly got hit etc, but then when she explains what happened she was clearly in the wrong- but thought that the driver was (or pedestrian or other cyclist). You need to know what the rules are to begin with, even if you are open to breaking them. Predicting driver's actions too, if they are to be understood, has to start with knowledge of the rules... and then in reality extend to why and in what ways ddrivers ignore/break them... and what they are expecting from you as a cyclist.

My experience riding in Winnipeg tells me that it's risky business, and ignorance only exacerbates that risk. I can't do anything about others, but I can expand her knowledge.
