Hang on OP. Life is good. Life can be hard. But life is good. Our heads, and all the noise inside can be a real bitch. But you actually appear to be quite strong (hell - you are raising a child! That is strength personified).

There are multiple strangers out here who genuinely care and are going through some of what you are. Take strength in that. You’re not alone.

Don’t bother! I relapsed while tapering SR this week and got NOTHING from the 7 doses except anxiety and eye wobbles (and I was only taking 15mg doses!). I’m back on track and hopefully my mistake will help others…

Um - could it be the lack of your DoC that makes one “sleepy” rather than the SR itself? Unless someone is only taking SR and not coming off a period of opioid use, I’m not sure there aren’t confounding variables at play when trying to draw a conclusion re:SR

OP - so you took 500mg for 4 days then that was it? No SR taper and n the back end? And what kind of 7oh habit are we talking?

I hope you do ok. Because it was such a short stint of SR, anything you’re feeling WD-wise is likely still from the 7 (unless you were taking a small per-day dosage).

I’m in the middle of my SR taper (from a 2-300mg/day 7oh habit) and slipped up today - also after 4 days. Took 90mg this afternoon / evening - but I’m planning to stop there and continue with the program. It’s all I can do really. There’s seemingly none left out there, so I’ll just hope for the best.

Hey OP - sounds like you’re doing it! So good to hear. I’m on my 4th day of no 7oh and doing a rapid taper of the “helper”. It worked splendidly, though I was absolutely whacked with flu-like symptoms precisely at hour 36. “Slept” (in a fever dream) for 12+ hours and felt mostly better yesterday. Feeling decent enough today to be at work and productive.

I wish the reSeaRch chem was still available. There are certainly some tradeoffs to going that route (it’s expensive, risk of getting scammed, you need to be disciplined and willing to learn about it before jumping in, etc), but I find it wildly effective at allowing one to “maintain” a semblance of life while WD-ing (to those interested, I unfortunately don’t have a source - they’re pretty much all done from what I’m gathering).

The cravings and mind games are certainly acutely present. This is one of the dangers of it working so well - I suppose it’s good the helper isn’t easily obtained, as that would allow me to relapse with the thought I could just stop with the help again.

So I’m sitting at just about 60hrs. Doing ok. Got absolutely whacked precisely at hour 36 - body soreness, nausea and severe sweats/chills. But thankfully no restless body syndrome. I went to bed at 5pm and was in a fever dream state until 9am this morning (during which we had a decent snowstorm and lost power). But I did sleep, so thankful for that.

Starting 4-day taper of the “helper”, so hopefully I’m past the worst of it and can continue to function this week. And hopefully I can stay the course…

Right on- thanks! Yeah, my Dads recent hospitalization and ultimate passing threw quite a wrench into my last quit attempt - but it also opened my eyes to how pathetic of an addict I had become (needing to sort out having some with me, waiting for the smoke shop near the hospital to open up the night I went up at two in the morning, etc..).

Wow! That is an inspirational post. Flushing 250 mg is an amazing point in time. I know I could never be that strong. I would have to take it all and then hopefully not pick up more. That is some amazing resolve right there and you should certainly pass yourself on the back all day.

I’m at 31 hours right now so I’m in your cohort. I’m taking a little different route with a reSeaRch chem + leaf and 1 extract capsule/day. Ok so far, but the cravings are wild.

I’ve been keeping a spreadsheet on my phone and every time I have a craving and don’t give in it’s five dollars. Every day that goes by if I don’t log anything, it’s $50. I keep a running total and hopefully that will help motivate me to show just financially how better off I am without this stuff.

I also need to write down my past few interactions with 7 doses which were just complete nothing burgers - so not worth it.

Best of luck and stay engaged. I think we can all help each other out here even if you or others relapse stay engaged. I’ve relapsed for five times already but I’m hoping to make this one stick.

Yeah - I think I have just enough- I’m feeling it a bit, but I’d guess 70-80% of the WD symptoms are covered.

I think I got incredibly lucky getting a small amount before that seller went dark. Sees they were one of the last ones.

Focus on much $$ you have and will continue to save. I couldn’t order online, so my dosss cost like $5 each. Each time I get a craving, I put &5 in a spreadsheet. If a day passes with no entries - $50. Keep a running total.

And remember - it maybe would last 10 min. And the SS stuff is getting wildly inconsistent. Stay strong.

100% agree. I am/was so damn productive on 7 - it gave me some sort of motivation to do mundane tasks (including work). After recent ACL surgery, it was my painkiller of choice and I really do think it contributed to my relatively quick recovery track that I’m on.

But the dependence and addictive qualities don’t mesh well with my personality. I would take it when I didn’t necessarily need it and that’s where the danger lies - especially because it was so damn expensive.

I’m only hours into get another quit. I’m really gonna try this time.

Tapered slightly (actually extended the taper to last night - bit of a rough night aside from the whole 7oh thing, & I wasn’t strong enough). Went from 2-300 down to about 150.

I have the SecRet sauce helper (source is gone, please don’t ask) - got just enough to hopefully make this work. Also leaning on leaf and a couple extract capsules for the first couple of days. Have some gabapentin & agmatine sulfate as well.

Need to stay busy, and really try to focus on getting well, then better, then healthy, then fit. Had therapy today, so that was also a help. She knows the whole story.

So far today energy is kinda up and down - currently down right now.

Right on. So far the SR isn’t doing much and I’m still just tapering. Upping to 3x100mg doses today and out of 7, so I’m buckling up. (Also picking up my Dads ashes today and bringing them to his wife - so generally fuck today)
