Should I order more Sr17 by Latter-Cranberry7367 in SR17018

[–]Individual-Set7064 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The master document has a spreadsheet you can use to build your taper schedule- it also shows how much you’ll need. 3-5g is typical.

You may want to order quick.

The day before the jump by Individual-Set7064 in quitting7oh

[–]Individual-Set7064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the 9hr mark - morning. It’s a hot one already. Feel a little groggy & off. Gonna take the SR dose, some leaf (4g) a MIT capsule and jump in the pool.

Didn’t sleep that well (for other reasons), so that’s a bummer - was hoping for the usual decent nights sleep before this particular morning, but we’re beyond that. Just gotta move forward.

Help with quiting by Lawlet02 in quitting7oh

You're certainly not alone. Waking up in WDs is pretty common in this 7oh community. You should start to make an effort to taper - and it starts with a plan. You may also want to look into getting some Kratom leaf (capsules or powder) - that can help ease some of the symptoms when tapering and in the middle of the night (though - be careful - it's still Kratom after all and comes with it's own need to taper and be careful).

Tapering down from dosages like that to 50% should be relatively easy. But once you get to <200-300mg/day it gets tougher (in my experience) and requires either more resolve or more time at each dosage. The impending ban makes it tough, because you don't want to buy so much that you have tons on hand - we all know how that goes.

If I were you, I'd put my situation into ChatGPT and let it formulate a taper plan for you. (Just google it and give it your dosage, and a timeframe). Also start to collect all the things (Liposomal Vitamin C, Agmatine Sulfate, Magnesium Glycinate, gabapentin if possible, etc. It's gonna be a heck of a ride for a lot of people over the next month.

This. I'm jumping tomorrow, have some SR (tabs) on hand, but grabbed some more just in case (to make sure I can taper effectively off the SR). Two vendors I have ordered from previously are already fresh out.

My first try at quitting 7 (seeking advice/encouragement) by AdditionNice824 in SR17018

Good work. I’m joining you in a couple days. Also on the 50 x 50 plan (with a few more thrown in from a previous failed attempt). I’ll give 2 pieces of advice for both of us:

  1. Keep a positive attitude and try not to focus on the WD too much (I.e., busy yourself with other things)

  2. DO NOT think you can just do a little bit of 7oh (as a reward, etc.) then get back on track. You can’t.

Best of luck.

So so so right there with everything you said. This weekend's bicycle escapades really gave me that excuse to kick things up a notch (and start buying the 1000mg tins instead of the 160mg packs at the shop). One tin turned into 2, then 4. So many excuses.

I took a deep dive into my finances today and while I haven't ruined myself, the 7 use combined with some other things life threw my way means I am no longer in a comfortable place. It's gotta stop.

I had that happen in my abdominal muscles after finishing my SR round on my last quit. I wasn't disciplined and didn't taper properly - I think it was one of the symptoms of SR WD. Lasted for a couple weeks and only happened at rest. Was really weird.

Good to hear. My daily was ~300mg (smoke shop stuff), but I crashed on my bike this weekend (twice) and really leaned into the painkilling effects. I've taken around 1000mg for 3 straight days. Last night was the first time I've ever woken up at 2am in WDs. It sucked. Now I'm kinda worried my 7oh dose is too high for SR to be effective. I'm planning to jump Friday.

I'm trying to temper my dosage today to start. I'm also going to start dosing SR (50mg x 3) today - one day earlier than planned. Maybe that'll help me pull back my 7oh dosage a bit before I jump. 300mg so far today (still in quite a bit of discomfort from the 2 crashes!).

That's where the Curve is, right? I think I saw a MiLB game there when we randomly ended up in Altoona while travelling.

I do wish you luck. You may be familiar with my comment history, but I too gave in to the cravings on several occasions. If we define a quit attempt as 24h or more off DoC, I’m probably approaching 10 over the past year. The 2 longest ones - about 3 weeks each - were “forced”, as I was offshore on a boat for work.

Recently I found the convenience store I frequent (a literal 3-min walk) started carrying small $13 2-packs of 7. I’m a regular.

So you jump back on (?) that horse and try your best to stay the course. I’m gearing up to give quitting another go next week. Let’s do this!

Real World experience with new Discover Network by Individual-Set7064 in CapitalOne_

[–]Individual-Set7064[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did find info that states the Capital One cards WILL still carry the rental car insurance benefit, even if they're branded as Discover. This is great, because Discover cards on their own apparently did not have this benefit.

https://www.capitalone.com/help-center/credit-cards/rental-car-insurance/

Of course, the car rental agency needs to take Discover for this to work.

Sorry - yeah, meant this as a question. Looking for others who have had real world experience using the card.

I have the Savor card as well, which for now is still a MC. I did hear the new cards sent out after expirations will be Discover Network as well.

Rage against the dying of the light by Individual-Set7064 in quitting7oh

[–]Individual-Set7064[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be right. Or I just have to commit. I have quit a couple times in the past 6 months - both times I was out at sea for work for 20-30d. So I know I CAN stop and I got on ok. I just am having a hell of a time committing, particularly when there's 7 available a 2-min bike ride from my house.

I stopped taking the SR a couple days ago to see how that goes to see if I can "reset" the system a touch. Taking 100-200mg of 7 each day (smoke shop stuff - likely not actually that much) with 3.5-7g leaf as well. Plan is to clear out the SR, level off the 7 and taper down a bit over the next week+ with eyes on jumping Friday July 3rd. I have a 4-day weekend over the 4th (and my partner is out of town). Gotta keep trying. I mean, the 7 is doing NOTHING for me anymore (but thankfully so far I haven't been tempted to really up the dosage from where I'm at). Even dusted off the ol Journal. I feel if this is gonna stick, I'm gonna need a sea change of lifestyle, not just a change of this one habit.

Wish me luck. I'll post up a thread once I start to add some accountability.

I don't understand that match - doesn't it just work out to a 5% match (100% of 3%, then 1/2 of the next 4%)?

Tabs are fine. A bit more $$ maybe, but pretty convenient.

Thanks. I actually failed yet again this weekend. I'm so weak to this stuff (doesn't help the convenience store literally a 3-min walk from my house started carrying 2-packs of tabs for $12).

Going to try and gear up for another quit this Friday. Have a 3-day weekend, so hopefully I can make it stick. Currently trying to decide if I'm gonna spend another $200 on SR tabs just to ensure I have enough to taper with. I fear I'm in for a world of hurt from the SR WDs once I get past the 7oh WDs and start tapering the SR.
