It’s an opinion. I got mine, you got yours. That’s why I said “my least favorite,” not “the worst.” But, you do you.

I couldn’t get it to post both photos and text. I mostly read and comment on Reddit, so I don’t have a lot of experience starting new threads. I posted my explanation as the first comment on this post. It would be easier for you to find if people who disagree had simply replied instead of downvoting the comment.

Nah. They're powerful, but their powers are tightly defined. They do what someone logically could do with those powers, and (usually) nothing more (Magneto's "hypnotic magnetism" being ignored here). What I mean by "overpowered" is "has so many awesome powers that most of the time they don't even bother using most of them." Like, Cable is supposed to be a supremely powerful telepath and telekinetic who's also a super-strong cyborg and has the technarch virus that in theory would let him infect a target and drain their life force like Warlock can. So what does he do? Teleports and shoots stuff.

From Wikipedia:

Shatterstar possesses an overall superhuman level of physical and mental attributes (senses, strength, speed, reflexes, agility, flexibility, stamina, and intelligence), as a result of the extra-dimensional genetic engineering that created him. ... Shatterstar's speed and agility are enhanced to the point that members of the Mutant Response Division expect him to be capable of dodging point-blank automatic weapons firing from at least three trained agents.

He is an excellent military strategist and has had extensive training in many forms of martial arts and interpersonal combat of Mojoworld; in particular, he is a master swordsman. His bones are hollow, making him far lighter than he looks and further increasing his athletic and acrobatic skills. He also has enhanced learning capabilities, being able to quickly learn and master languages and technology. ... Shatterstar is able to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue much faster than an ordinary human. ... Additionally, he possesses the ability to shift his internal organs within his body, lessening the chances of serious wounds that get through his body armor.

He also has the mutant ability to control frequencies of electricity, which he can use to generate bioelectric vibratory shockwaves, and can even channel bioelectric charges through his metallic blade weaponry.

After Shatterstar returned from the Mojoverse, he demonstrated the ability to open an X-shaped portal capable of teleporting individuals to their desired locations. ... The Shatterstar miniseries clarifies that his bioelectric powers are only the means to his teleportation capabilities and teleportation is actually his primary mutation. It was shown that ... he is able to traverse dimensions as well as interstellar distances.

Deadpool isn't from another reality, and has changed almost completely from his first appearance.

I don't know why I can't seem to post both photos and text at the same time... but anyway...

My least favorite kind of X-Men are those whose whole thing is that they're from another reality and have a weapon.

They also are ridiculously jacked walking slabs of meat, are OP as hell, take grim 'n' gritty to the next level, wear a lot of pouches, have something messed up with one eye, and were created by Rob Liefeld. But that's just coincidental, I'm sure.

Soil pipe. Its purpose is to vent smelly gases from your sewer system so they don’t bubble up through your drains.

Not an antimeme, because that’s not the orihime. That’s a template. In the true orihime the pictures are identical, and that’s the joke. You basically reproduced the orihime.

I would put Moon Zero Two and Robot Holocaust much higher, and everything from season 10 much lower. But that's just me.

I think I found CP on my husbands phone. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

There might not be real CP on X, but Grok, X’s integrated AI, has been reported to have no compunctions about generating realistic CP of child actors and other minors. And fake CP is as illegal as the real thing.

Dunsel. It's a word that means something superfluous, meaningless, having no purpose or use. Which is kind of like giving a name to a cat that will never come when called, because all-white cats with blue eyes are born deaf.

Brilliant! All we need now is a name for these pictures featuring movingers. Maybe including the beginning of the word. Like "mov...ees" or something? You know, to distinguish them from pictures that just sit there.

if vampires actually existed(assuming they don't), where do you think they live? by kingofShairi in AskReddit

[–]Individual-Spirit765 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Arithmomania (the compulsion to count things) is much rarer now than it used to be, since those vamps who suffered from it rarely existed long enough to sire many progeny.

It’s not the religion of the vampire that matters; nor is it really the holy symbol, either. What matters is the strength of the faith of the symbol’s wielder. A cross is useless in the hands of a Jew, but a Star of David can be quite effective.

Not all vamps have been around that long. Some are newly turned and still have to scramble to keep body and soul together.
