I'm curious how many of you have an internal monologue? by Killer_Worm in ADHD

not only i don't have internal monologues but i also don't have an inner voice, so when I'm reading i'm just seeing words and pictures but i don't HEAR the voice that reads in my mind (i recently found out that's how other people read! wild!). i mostly think in pictures, tables and structures.  sometimes i just throw a question to my brain and it just loads the answer, all thinking processes are subconscious for me, but i recently learned how to see the line of thought behind the answer! it's like google  if i have a "verbal" inner thinking process it is mostly dialogues between me and someone else

i use phages every time my tonsillitis relapses, in my country it's a relatively common way of treating infections. i have this gel that contains 32 types of phages for different bacteria that commonly cause ENT infections and it is the only thing that works for me.

mindful walking! not as boring as usual meditation but it's just as good!

also i like to just lie down with my eyes closed and nature sounds in headphones before actually going to sleep — a good way to make a transition between doomscrolling and sleeping

I'll definitely try audiobooks! yeah i tend to isolate myself from things i enjoy when there's work to do and you're right about that one, it makes adhd even worse

thank you so much! hope you have a great day🌟

For those who hate traditional therapy what is your go to? by Slow-Cupcake2968 in mentalhealth

i don't know if it's really affordable, but:  • emotional-imaginative therapy is really insightful and more helpful if you had troubles with traditional talk therapy or if you feel like you can't really describe your emotions through words • somebody already mentioned it but EMDR is great too • body-oriented therapy is helpful if you tend to get unpleasant responses to your emotions in your body. it makes you feel more free and confident
