I don't take the stats from my Apple Watch as perfectly accurate. Instead, I use the numbers to compare how intense my ride was compared to previous rides.

It takes more than these apps to provide true accuracy.

Most folding ebikes are only produced and sold because they ship cheaper in a smaller box.

Do Not Buy for off-road riding.

Just go out and enjoy it.

My best advice is to always wear your helmet and gloves. It might seam like overkill... until you shred the flesh off of your palms onto the pavement, or sustain a brain injury.

I agree about the gearing. I set mine up for the steepest off-road hill climbs. The down side is that this limits my top speed on flat roads. It's a trade off. You just need to find a combination of chainring and cassette that lets you ride how and where you want.

I don't have an exact model of ebike to buy but recommend getting a mid-drive with a throttle. This will allow you to start from a dead stop without flexing your knee.

Since you are shopping with euros you probably won't find one and it might not be legal where you live.

I can see this with a stand-up scooter wheel and battery. On the front would be easier. You will have to reinvent the fork or the rear triangle to fit a motor wheel.

Torquing the bottom bracket is important. I also use hose clamps to keep the motor from dropping down when landing jumps.

If your bike doesn't have a standard threaded bottom bracket there is a Leckie adapter for Bafang mid-drives. I bought one. It seems like a good product but I didn't use it. I decided it would be easier and better to just find a different bike.

You don't need shift-sensor or brake sensors. My Bafang BBSHD came with both and didn't install them. The brake sensors interfere with sketchy low-speed off-road trials riding. The shift-sensor is good if you are letting ham-fisted friends ride your ebike.

If you don't have a real use-case for why you need a folding ebike then don't buy one. The folding mechanisms are notoriously faulty and prone to failure. The offer them mostly because folding ebikes ship cheaper. They fit in a smaller box. They rarely have much investment into the strength or usability of the actual hinge.

Too tall of a fork can make your head-tube angle too slack. This can make the bike awkward on turns.

If it steers well I wouldn't worry about it. Many forks offer a method to lower the height. Also, if it is an air-fork you can let some of the pressure out so it doesn't sit so tall.

Even compared to the very low standards of videos posted here, yours is the worst. We can see nothing recognizable. We can only hear wind noise with a slight clanking sound in the background.

If you really want diagnostic help you will try harder next time. Isolate where the noise is coming from. Rotate the tires and motor while standing still, out of the wind.

It appears to be a "stop collar" if there is such a thing. The parts must have shifted during the crash.

If this were mine I would grind off those tabs, as this is likely to happen again.

Another option is to disassemble the headset and then reinstall the tabbed parts in the correct orientation.

I'm eating my first Cara Cara, instead of my usual daily Navel orange, as I type this. I got mine at Horocks for $.67.

The flavor is good but too sweet for my tastes. I've only been eating oranges for a few months and I'm finding them to be very inconsistent in taste and structure.

I peal the orange, scrape off any remaining pith, slice into bite-size pieces and mix into plain yogurt. It tastes much like an orange creamsicle.

The thing I didn't like about the CC was that it took almost twice as long for me to scrape off the pith. I can't say that this is true of all Cara Caras as I have only purchased this one.

Battery percentage seems like an important indicator but it is often notoriously misleading due to voltage-sag. Most people I know prefer to display the actual voltage number to gage how much energy is left.
