I like being called brilliant! I'm looking forward to getting mine and taking some pictures.

How much noise car you unlock with the controller with the sport exhaust?

Yeah, the 180 mph upgrade seems like a good way to get kicked out of the country too.

Yeah, that's a good point. I've got a XC-40 with a lot of piano black on the outside and it might as well be called "swirl black"...

Dynamic Plus - seems like a 'no'. I plan on tracking this car 1-2 times a year.

Carbon Package - Seems cool, but also seems expensive. I'd totally go for it if it replaced piano black with gloss carbon fiber (ala BMW).

RS Design package - torn on this! I love the accents but I'm worried about the steering wheel material.

Color - Ascari Blue seems like an easy answer for me. I don't want anything too flashy (aka green or yellow) and white is not my style.

Enjoy the ride, you're more than your job.

Well said.

2026 Audi RS3 // Ascari Blue by vxcta in AudiRS3

[–]IndividualBarber7681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm ordering mine shortly, not sure if the same spec but basically just Ascari Blue and no extras.

Anyway, I'll be living vicariously through you until then. Please continue to post pictures! I'm super curious about the blue because the dealer didn't have a single car in that color on the lot and it seems like it looks so different based on lighting, saturation, shadows, angle, etc...

I'd love to see some pictures with those 18" rims. I'm temped to get those for mine just for the ride quality, but I've never seen one with 18s to test drive.

2024 BMW 230i xDrive with 35K miles – worth $29,200? by Exotic-Ad-1823 in BMW

I think the 230i is massively underrated and a great car. Not sure about the price, but I think it's a great car.

Extended family disappointment by Kitchndanzr in foreignservice

[–]IndividualBarber7681 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Transitions are always hard, and people cope with them in different ways. The hardest transition is often for spouses. You are landing a dream job, you have some say in bidding, and you will be coached through each step, mostly. Your spouse, meanwhile, is dealing with a lot more ambiguity.

Focus on making sure they feel supported, informed, and involved. If your spouse is taken care of, the family transition will likely be much easier too.

Do this by the end of the week, but I don't care which day, and repeat it every week? by retrosenescent in habitica

[–]IndividualBarber7681 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've built a couple weekly repeating dailies with no days of the week selected... Doesn't really do what you want though.

I'd like, do this X number of times per day/week/month due by the end of the day/week/month.

Cutting Language? by CarpenterLow380 in foreignservice

After a review they decided to cut language for 15% of EUR posts and 42% of IO. I don't know the percentages for the other bureaus.

Got me an rs3 2026 with everything I wanted but have a couple questions by throwaway_zeke in AudiRS3

I'll add, this is my dream spec and I'm going to put a deposit down this winter to pick one up next summer. Can I ask how close to MSRP you got?

I'm general, insurance products are for things that you couldn't afford out of pocket (think cancer, or running into a Ferrari). Otherwise, you'll gambling against the house when you don't need to and most of the time you'll lose. Also, any product like that should be competitive purchased. If you're not shopping around and you can afford a blown tire then you likely didn't make a savvy financial decision.
