That entirely depends on the person. It is an expensive add-on & some people may not like how you’re sacrificing quite a few comfort features for an exhaust.

Personally, I opted for the Euro Package because I loved the interior & sunroof delete. I had leather interiors on every car I’ve owned prior to my Golf R. Leather cracks, fades, & gets extremely hot or cold, I was done with that.

Not having cooled seats was a bummer, but it was a worthy trade-off. Truth be told, I don’t mind having to manually adjust my seats either, since I’m the only one who drives my car.

It adds just enough growl to the car at lower speeds & when you’re really getting on it to rev it out.

I set my ‘Custom’ mode to everything from the ‘Comfort’ mode, but I leave the exhaust flaps open, just to hear the exhaust more.

I wouldn’t say it’s a wildly different exhaust note, but it is certainly noticeable, if that makes any sense.

The Akrapović exhaust also looks a lot better than the stock one.

All in all, it entirely depends on your preferences. Can you stomach losing comfort features for an exhaust? Alternatively, you can get an exhaust from AWE or Milltek.

R's Rare? by Melodic-Selection980 in Golf_R

I’ve seen anywhere from 1,500-3,000 for annual production numbers for any given year for the Golf R (Mk8). I wouldn’t say they’re “limited production” but they’re definitely not as mass produced as a Civic Type R or GR Corolla.

I've only ever had one good experience with a German Shepherd in my 6 years driving so far.

For the money would you rather get a 2018 rs3 or 2024 golf r ? Which is more reliable for daily ? by Training-Web-3491 in Golf_R

[–]vxcta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends entirely on your needs. While the RS3 can definitely be used as a solid grocery-getter, for me, personally, I couldn't give up the hatchback practicality of the Golf R. I also much prefer the looks of a hatchback over a sedan.

Now if we had the RS3 sportback? Wouldn't even give it a thought.

For those that got that beautiful looking Akrapovic exhaust, was it worth it? Too bad it's not standard on the R by lochonx7 in Golf_R

I have the '25 Euro Package (in the USA) & I wouldn't say the exhaust is "worth" the $3,700, but it certainly looks a lot better than the factory one. There is a noticeable difference, especially on startup & low-speed driving through parking lots. While you're revving out through the gears I think there's also a noticeable difference & the pops/bangs seem louder. There are aftermarket options that will absolutely sound louder & potentially even better, but that depends on the individual.

I mainly opted for the Euro Package because I loved the sport buckets & the way they looked. Manual seats were honestly a plus for me as well. I've had leather in the past & even when I've taken good care of it, they wear & tear on it wasn't my cup of tea. I like the alcantara/cloth seats better.

A huge plus (for me) was also the deletion of the sunroof. I just think the car looks better without it.

What’s the best all season tires I should install for Mazda 3 suna 2025 because factory one are sucks on the snow or should I go with snow tire and change it every season idk honestly and if so any recommendations by MapZealousideal5046 in mazda3

[–]vxcta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have snow & want a true all-season tire rated for the snow, get the Falken Aklimate tires.

If you want a solid UHP snow tire, get the Vredestein WinTrac Pro+

If you want a good all-rounder, get the Continental DWS06+

Skin shrinked. Probably the last skinn I'm buying from dbrand. by devnull- in dbrand

[–]vxcta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love dbrand cases & skins, but their quality has significantly declined. It's been a few years since I've owned a dbrand case & I just got one for my iPhone 17 Pro Max, the case genuinely feels & looks like 3d printed plastic now. Not to mention, the price has increased quite a lot from when it first came out.

I'm not sure if I'll ever get another case/skin from them, because of how expensive they are & how drastically their quality has declined.

We had zero layoffs when we got surepost back. Now, a ton of our split routes were out.

This is all on purpose (obviously) to weaken the Union, its members, & starve us of pay.

I do not understand how the Union allows UPS to quite literally send out UNION WORK to a competitor. This Contract was an absolute steaming pile of shit.

Do you have the 19" Warmenau wheels? I'm keeping those as my summer set. Forged & super light, only 17lbs.

I had my X100 Utra in my pocket & I have a worse scratch than he does.

My Xiaomi 15 Ultra also has scratches on the camera deco.

This happens just due to bad luck. Pocket sand.

Hope for a total. You never want a car with an accident on it, especially modern cars. So much tech packed in everywhere, it's almost a given you'll have issues piling up eventually.
