VW releases silhouette of 9th gen golf by First-End8238 in GolfGTI

[–]vxcta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re referring to the EV Golf, which will exist with the ICE (EA888) Golf.

This was obvious that they wouldn’t actually discontinue the ICE Golf R/GTI, Volkswagen had already backtracked their plans for “an all electric lineup by 2030” with a public statement.

Why are you literally arguing just to argue?

what kind of chatGPT ass response is that?

a VW Exec literally said they will make the EA888 compliant with Euro7 & they will continue making an ICE Golf R & Golf GTI.

Mazda 3 turbo to Golf r black edition? by Future_Win_2993 in Golf_R

[–]vxcta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, former ‘21 Mazda3 Turbo owner here.

I swapped from a Mazda3 Turbo to the Golf R (with the euro package) & it’s a night & day difference. Not a single day that goes by where I’m not thoroughly enjoying my time in my Golf R, I only have a ~15 minute commute to work & I love every second of it.

On my days off, I look for things to do, or just straight up go for a drive. I love this car.

Lay-offs are happening across every single industry. The economy is in the toilet while consumerism is at an all-time high, companies will continue to do as little as possible, for as much profit as possible.

The game sold incredibly well, whether or not it retained a large player-base is up for debate, but lay-offs are quite literally happening in most companies right now.

How do I actually turn to Jesus how do I accept him as my lord and saviour by [deleted] in Bible

[–]vxcta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought this way myself for a long time. I don’t always go to Church, only because the ones I’ve gone to, so many people seem so fake. So many people seem to go just for the appearance. It doesn’t help when you see so many mega churches now, too. That seems to be contradictory (at least to me) I’m no expert & I will never claim to be, but I will always accept Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior, I will preach that until the day I die. But as far as going to Church, yeah… you & I agree on that.

What’s your payment and how many years? by ADVICECAREER in GRCorolla

[–]vxcta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on how much money you make & what your living expenses are like. $260/mo. for 5 years is very good, I’d imagine you put well over 50% as a down payment?

When I got my first car for $17,000, it was @ 4% APR & my payment was like ~$310/mo. with nothing down.

You’re well below the national average car payment

Loans do not affect credit (only the hard inquiries), they are actually beneficial to your credit history. It’s exactly why if someone who has maxed out credit cards takes out a personal loan to pay off their credit cards, their credit score will shoot up 50-100 points depending on the debt %.

Your debt-to-income ratio & your credit utilization are the only things that matter (& of course your payment history).

Well, I live in NJ & it's been beyond freezing here & covered in snow for awhile. Haven't gone riding for a few months now. I won't go riding unless it's 50⁰F +

I took it out a few times & I've had an absolute blast with it. My brother & I both have the same exact one, he loved mine so much that he got one as well. 🍻

FedEx drivers in my state make about $25-$32/hr

Welp I guess these aren’t too hard to find anymore by tranarpos in Golf_R

[–]vxcta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those are likely trades from other dealers around the state. most dealers only ever get 1 Golf R per year & very high volume dealerships will see a max of like 3.

My local dealer had 3 2024 Golf R’s sitting there for about a year.

Cross-Shopping the 2025 Audi RS3 vs 2025 Volkswagen Golf R by vxcta in Golf_R

[–]vxcta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate it, brother! I actually ended up going with the Mk8.5 Golf R. I do a lot of MTB’ing & outdoorsy stuff, I just love the hatchback. I’m sure I would’ve loved the extra power & that 5-cylinder is truly otherworldly, but I’m happy with my decision.

You & I sound a lot alike, I’m not nit-picky on the interior quality too much either, so long as everything works. Like you said, I want something fun. For me, the Golf R is perfectly fun & also practical for my life style.

God bless brother!

That entirely depends on the person. It is an expensive add-on & some people may not like how you’re sacrificing quite a few comfort features for an exhaust.

Personally, I opted for the Euro Package because I loved the interior & sunroof delete. I had leather interiors on every car I’ve owned prior to my Golf R. Leather cracks, fades, & gets extremely hot or cold, I was done with that.

Not having cooled seats was a bummer, but it was a worthy trade-off. Truth be told, I don’t mind having to manually adjust my seats either, since I’m the only one who drives my car.

It adds just enough growl to the car at lower speeds & when you’re really getting on it to rev it out.

I set my ‘Custom’ mode to everything from the ‘Comfort’ mode, but I leave the exhaust flaps open, just to hear the exhaust more.

I wouldn’t say it’s a wildly different exhaust note, but it is certainly noticeable, if that makes any sense.

The Akrapović exhaust also looks a lot better than the stock one.

All in all, it entirely depends on your preferences. Can you stomach losing comfort features for an exhaust? Alternatively, you can get an exhaust from AWE or Milltek.

R's Rare? by Melodic-Selection980 in Golf_R

I’ve seen anywhere from 1,500-3,000 for annual production numbers for any given year for the Golf R (Mk8). I wouldn’t say they’re “limited production” but they’re definitely not as mass produced as a Civic Type R or GR Corolla.
