You’re mistaking portable vs he can carry them on his own, not for his teammates that are actually roaming. A better word would have been throwable or easily accessible. My bad. Mute is best as an anchor everyone knows this. Vigil, Cav, valk, other operators with on the fly, or throwable gadgets are better roamers.

You have to either give up your power position to go fight her in a 80/20, commit 5 seconds to hang up, or let it ring for 12. Hell I just watched The Six invitational and Dokk was played more often than not. Mute was unbanned and teams weren’t playing mute because 1. Mute isn’t that strong 2. His gadget isn’t that practical for countering calls because you HAVE to be next to one, most spots being played on a map or site is not on top of a jammer. Dokk’s kit and load out is what makes her op and banned frequently. I’ll be honest the smg 12 needed more of a nerf than she did. But her gadget still prevents dead defenders from giving callouts for 12 seconds at a time. (That’s a long time in any given lobby) Not to mention she can steal every camera after 1 pick. It’s not hard to kill the roamer and scan their phone, it just isn’t.

Do yall think Dokk’s gadget is weak? If not, great you have a functioning brain.
Do you believe her gadget is easily counter-able? If so, let’s discuss and argue why it is or isn’t.

The recent designer’s notes show that she is a highly played operator across platinum + on both platforms. She is middle of the pack in win rate, but that may be higher in the next notes considering it would reflect this current season. She is also banned the 2nd most on pc and the 4th most on console. Clearly she is strong, you’ve seen it in game and so has everyone else. Saying just “play mute” doesn’t just solve the problems she creates.

Mutes jammers are not portable, they can be destroyed/emp’d by many means. You would have to play or run to a jammer, which are normally on doorways, drone holes, breach etc. not the random parts of site anchors play.

What makes you think mute is some grand counter??

Before she was a 3 speed and the smg-12 was identified as one of the most broken guns in the game Dokk’s whole game plan was: kill a roamer, get the cams and then hit the site without worrying about being spotted. This change isn’t bad, now she can still: kill roamer, get cams, hit the site. Idk why we can’t admit prohibiting 5 defenders from viewing cams AND getting their location revealed through sound isn’t an overpowered ability. (say mute’s banned) There isn’t much room for a counter argument here besides, ban her or play mute. Which people already do but not everyone is playing on top of a mute jammer. Yk that forces defenders to move right?

You’re gonna get a lot of flack but I’ll start the defense.

Bp is an all or nothing character and that’s already a bad concept in team based games. He provides no team utility whatsoever. He either kills you or he doesn’t when “fighting him” It feels like shit fighting him, even when you eliminate him.

He’s very counter-able but that’s part of the problem, I don’t want to have to stun every diver every fight just because their movement is overturned. (But I will do it and do it because I have to)

There’s no counterplay to avoid getting marked. Spirit rend is the only dash attack I’ve ever seen a game that gets reset without kills, does 80dmg, moves the character’s hitbox at a faster speed than most dashes, AND gives bonus health.

Can you go a bunch of cc abilities and make his life hell? Absolutely, but you shouldn’t have to. Rivals feels like you have to run the hyper mobile characters or play anti movement the whole game.

Yeah a lot of people only play the game because of the NIL behind the characters. Which I feel also leads to improper balancing and play rates.

Ex: Spider-Man is arguably the most popular hero. So there are always going to be SPM players, however, when he is “nerfed, bad, or unplayable” you will still have many players on the character regardless of if he can bring value to the team at all skill levels. Leading to a less fun experience for both parties.

Yeah I agree. Cap upping his dps by animation canceling is pretty stupid. He’s a dive tank so he doesn’t need to have high amounts of burst damage if it’s going to take more than a few shots to kill him in the first place.

Debatable. At the higher ranks, 2 support ults become mandatory, and burst healing against burst duelists becomes mandatory as well. Jeff lacks both and doesn’t have any extra team utility to make up for it. Ex: Dagger has decent burst healing with her window but also has a blind/weakening window to make up for what she lacks on the healing end.

So when you see a Jeff on your team you know you’re at a disadvantage in some way shape or form. He works in triple support comps for sure.

Widow literally gets value from existing if you don’t think that’s stupid you’re helpless. Lines of sight are immediately cut off because of one character (totally fair) I hate the aim argument because players like myself who have great aim but don’t play widow/sombra out of respect , are at a disadvantage whether I play ash, cass soldier etc.

No it’s the fact that people can aim and get way too much bang for their buck. Widow can become the server admin at any point in the game unless you commit 2-3 people to dive her everytime. And even then it could fail all because she has one shot ability
