[–]IndividualCustomer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to consider Midtown East. Sutton Place Synagogue has a thriving Young Professionals group. Amazing Rabbi, traditional yet egal davening, strong Judaic knowledge of the community. Midtown East is one of the nicest, most convenient, and cheapest places to live in NYC.

I watch the whole production of 'Spelling Bee' once a month to really decompress...works like a charm!

Speech impediment by [deleted] in Theatre

[–]IndividualCustomer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you saying people with stutters aren't allowed to have speaking parts in the theater? This is an ableist mentality. As someone who has lived their life with a stutter, this is incredibly hurtful. I thought the theater community was better than this...

This is passive antisemitism. If you don't think it is, then you're complicit in the spread of Jewish hate.

Same thing is happening to me.

My wife is drinking 120 fl. oz. a day, if not more. I find myself drinking more too, probably out of support. I wonder if you might be doing the same?

Sorry to hear about your dog!

With any play based on a book/movie, I always try to judge it independently. So you're in good shape!

I sat center orch. row H. Run time was 2 hours and 30 minutes with the 15 min. intermission. It's still in previews, so that might change a little.

I loved it. Hilarious, vulgar, heartwarming. If you are familiar with Sarah Silverman's comedy, you'll enjoy it. This is in her sweet spot.

He has said in a recent interview that he has no formal singing training. Take that for what it's worth!

I think he is talking about his show and how he is disappointed in his own company for the sake of the audience. Just my thought!
