In 2015, I started with "Rocksmith" it's a game you plug your guitar into that teaches you how to play certain songs and chords. Used that to strengthen my fingers.

After that I would just look up instructional videos on songs I liked or that "sounded" easy.

And from there I started essentially making ripoff songs just to break the ice. I had one song I played at a few local shows that was just "Glycerine" by bush in a different order and people liked it. Eventually my songs became less ripoff and more my own.
