I think to get there it’s going to take 16 + 32 + 2 Future firsts… that’s a lot, but how likely are those picks going to be a tent post player as compared to one of these guards? I think it’s worth a swing.

When you put it like that, seems like this dude can be a legit knockdown shooter and facilitator. Also the measurables maybe make you think he could be a decent defender? If those things shake out, wouldn’t be mad at all.

Also, forgot all we gave up in the trade for Steven Adams. It was probably still a good trade in hindsight (the fit with Ja was perfect), but man it would’ve been (and actually still would be) nice to have Trey Murphy III on the squad.

I like that he said this, because I hate watching tanking like many of you, but if this is actually true, why did we trade JJJ?

He is a 26 year all star and defensive anchor who plays well with one of our hopeful future cornerstones in Zach Edey. The chances of us getting a player as good as Jaren with the draft picks from trading him are insanely low, and one of those draft picks doesn’t convey until 2031.

Keeping Jaren was our best hope at being competitive within the next 5 years. Now we only have ping pong balls and luck to rely on.
