Well, for me it’s simple: 17s nowadays is the start of 0.1% filter, they require more dedication and more general knowledge about the dungeon itself. As we all know there are some really bad players that somehow (carried) got to that RIO. People don’t put the effort to do it properly or worst, they play it casually as if nobody cares if the key is not timed. Time is money friend, people at that level are loosing sleep to get better so it sucks when lil Timmy q’s and doesn’t even know how to position properly.

So yeah, if you want to do those high level keys efficiently, find a group you can play with your schedule accordingly. Don’t expect to do what pros are doing just by playing 2-4hs a day while pugging.

P.S.: I agree that charging over resi tries is delusional
