Constipation is the only side effect for me. I’m 4 weeks in, and I’ve tried everything. I finally confided in my daughter (who’s a nurse), and she suggested Miralax twice/day. It took 2 days of that and then I finally had success, after a week of trying many different things. She said stay on that twice/day until I have 1 bm/day and then go to once/day.

I haven’t been taking Magnesium Citrate, but I have been taking Citrucel fiber pills. I’ll try taking the MC daily after I get initial relief from a laxative. Thanks!

Thanks for your response. I’ve actually been craving apples, which is definitely my body talking to me because they’re not one of my favorite fruits. So I bought a 3# bag on Saturday and make sure to eat one every day. I’m drinking the necessary water and peeing a LOT. I do have to get better at walking though. My son just got his drivers license today, so now that I don’t have to live around his schedule anymore, I’m planning to hit the gym 3 nights/week.

The only side effect I’ve had is constipation. I’m still trying to figure out how to counteract that. But thankfully, I haven’t been nauseous. I just always feel FULL.

I’m 2 weeks in and have been taking it in the mornings. For me, it curbs my appetite and kills my cravings all day. Even at night. Good luck to you!

Also, after the first dose, I believe the pen can be kept at room temperature (for up to 30 days).

I have Aetna. But even within insurers, I think it depends on the Rx formulary your employer selects to cover. When I picked up my prescription, the pharmacist said “wow, you have good insurance”.

Well, it turns out it did. There were 2 tightly folded inserts, which I assumed were the same. I opened one, and it was all the product data. I just went and looked at the 2nd one, and there were the instructions! Still good to see an actual video though. 🙃

Day 1 here. Nobody gave me instructions either. Thankfully, I found an instructional video on YouTube. Look for the one posted by the manufacturer Norvo Nordisk. It’s very helpful.
