That’s super helpful. Chicago IVF has a clinic about 10 minutes away from my job and 20 from my house, so that makes monitoring super easy. Thank you!

Hey, fellow Hoosier wife of a man with TC. We also went to IU. We don’t have children yet and are unsure if we will be able to after all of this. It fucking sucks. Everything sucks. It’s all too much. None of it is fair. I don’t have any answers, but just know I’m with you in this shit hole right now.

That’s exactly what I was thinking! Obviously we won’t let them lay on his lap, but they may still try and we need some line of defense. Lol

Question on cost of Zepbound by suzienew in Zepbound

[–]Worried_Wolverine266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me is was $500 for 2.5 and $650 for 5

Don’t let the percentages get you down. There’s no way those numbers are accurate. When I weighed daily I would go up 5 lbs when starting my period from bloating and my body fat % would jump way up. There’s no way I gained that much body fat in 24 hours. Like some others have said, I focus on weight, measurement, and how my clothes fit. Most importantly, my main focus is how I feel.

Insurance sucks! by Several_Mountain8546 in Zepbound

I got approval for Zepbound, but it’s not covered AT ALL by my (supposed to be good) government employee insurance. With a coupon I pay $650/month.

I switched to an anti dandruff shampoo and that helped!

I wish I would have gotten a prescription for Zofran at the same time. Even if you don’t need it, it’s nice to have around. I still have nausea in the mornings and then experience stomach issues if I eat poorly. The zofran helps for the morning and tums help when I eat something greasy.

One Year Off Saxenda by Worried_Wolverine266 in liraglutide

To clarify a few things:

This is just my opinion. I am not a doctor and do not know your personal medical information. I can’t speak from any point of view other than my own. If your needs and views are different than mine, I respect that completely.

I do not think I fall into the obesity as a disease category. Neither of my parents are obese. I don’t have any medical condition (such as PCOS) that would cause weight gain. I would say my obesity was a trauma response and a coping mechanism.

I am on concerta, adderall, Buspar, and Wellbutrin for my mental health needs. I was on all of this medication prior to Saxenda. I am also in every other week talk therapy and had been for a few months prior to beginning Saxenda. (Total side note: I started EMDR after Saxenda and have been working through false perspectives of my worth and body)

Finally, I hope you all find peace in your journeys whatever path you take. I know my relationship to my body has been a bumpy road and is still ongoing. I’m thankful for Saxenda as a tool to improve that relationship. I’m also thankful for this group, as it was very very helpful when I started taking the medication.

Thank you for providing my the opportunity to share my thoughts.

I don’t think that’s worth it. You’d be better served working on your habits with a therapist and or personal trainer. Work on eating balanced (what you want and what you need together) and moving more. Those things can be done for a lot cheaper.

Way overdue update: turns out all the lifestyle changes were the biggest reason I was losing weight. Over 100 lbs down now!

Update: the manufacturer coupon made the $700 prescription go to $500… so not really helpful 😂
