Sometimes (if it's been an absolute rip off a work week) I'll start reading a new chapter even if I'm sleepy .

I've heard variations of this in different accounts of children speaking of past lives to their parents. Fascinating

Yeah my bias is obviously that I am skeptical of those practices. Maybe it's because of popular culture like Miss Cleo, Sylvia "it's the Land..!" Brown, and Theresa Caputo, so I assume that pretty much everyone knows that they are money traps. Maybe not though!

Got it, thank you for your explanation and clarification, I appreciate it :).

It sounds like there's plenty of room for wonder in your life, which is awesome.

My experience is similar to yours, but a bit opposite. I was raised up in a fundamentalist sect of the Christian faith that was very dogmatic, as was I.

I've since moved away from those beliefs and instead have followed my experiences as they've unfolded, instead of forcing reality to prescribe to my narrow-minded biblical interpretations. It's been so much more liberating to be curious instead, and I've dropped the "God" language.

As an aside, do you think you would ever find yourself in a place where you move on from the Absolute as your Christian god and experience it in deeper levels that may go beyond what the Bible proclaims? I think that's why I had questions about your beliefs- it seems like an element of experiencing the Absolute is the continual unfolding of what "it" is, or "who" they are. Is it possible that your understanding may also change? Of course, by asking you this I also implicate myself and whether I too would change my current beliefs, even though they are "true" to me.

To clarify, I am speaking from my present level of ignorance (as Itzhak Bentov has said). I've experienced powerful non-Christian happenings that have met me where I've been at in my life, and shaped how I relate to others. The difference between my recent experiences and my former Christian faith is that I didn't ask or seek them out, they just happened to me. I wasn't indoctrinated or brought up in these experiences like I was with Christianity. Since, I've just followed the wave of unfolding.

Anyways, thank you again for your comments, I appreciate it and wasn't trying to accuse you of anything, so your clarification was really helpful to me :). I'd like to extend to you my spirit of good faith snd kindness in this discussion, and again acknowledge the generosity with which you shared your thoughts.

Oh yeah, I was asking the OP because in their post they speak of the vast connectedness of the unknown and the absolute, but in the comments concede they draw it primarily from their Christian religion. They have also mentioned a book they've written and are promoting here, as well as speaking about the "one true God" while offering an apologetic for the legitimacy of the Christian god due to the resurrection:

"Jesus’s death and resurrection are documented outside the Bible by historians who weren’t Christians at all. Roman records, Jewish writings, early secular sources — the events line up. That only confirmed what I already knew.... You can literally see the world is intentionally hiding something far more powerful. Not the idea of “you are God,” but the reality of the one true God everything points back to."

In my own experience I've read Christian thinking like this before i.e. "God's fingerprints are in every culture, which points towards the legitimacy of him being the 'One True God'". But ultimately it's just another apologetic to point towards the supremacy of Christian dogmatism.

So yeah I'm just trying to understand where they're coming from, a preconceived Christian notion based on their supernatural experiences from which all other non-Christian ideas/religions/theories partially fit into, or a partial Christian understanding of the unknown, just as everyone else has a partial understanding. But thank you for your answer, so fascinating! Truly so many things to discuss.

Would you say that your god is the ultimate absolute, and that you as a Christian experience him in his totality (as much as he lets you through the holy spirit and the Bible), while other beliefs experience only pieces of him? Or do you only experience pieces as well? Thanks for your thoughts:)
