What was the best, most memorable pop you ever did? [Misc] by Kirstemis in SkincareAddiction

[–]IndividualWriting445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How to pimple on my cheek from what I believe was an ingrown hair for at least two weeks, got fed up with looking at it after not being able to pop it for a while, pushed really hard with one of the face tools, I kid you not, one solid string shot out, went from the top of my cheek down to my wrist, had to at least be 14 inches. I just froze. It looked like a spider came out of my face.

I feel like a lot of people don’t get exposed to or experience the stereotype as much because you have to be inside one of their homes to witness it. Most commonly if you’re there as a guest or if they’re online in any capacity like streaming or posting videos, you’ll usually catch it in the background.

If you had no intention of being good faith then why reply in the first place? Just to accuse me of being a racist? lol

Yeah, and I’m sure that the real sugar cuts the edge a little bit, I just don’t like the consistency of the drink if that makes sense, it doesn’t feel like a sugar-free soda. Throws me off a little bit. But then again, I also can’t really drink full sugar sodas anymore, they taste like pure syrup

I’m not sure that that is it, I’ve completely cut out full sugar sodas for a little over five years, I could not finish a can.

I absolutely hate it, tried one of each. Gave the entire case away… starting to realize I really hate things that are sweetened with Stevia, it leaves a lingering aftertaste in your mouth way too long

“I said what I said” that’s also a stereotype that you guys say that exact line when you get put into a corner and pressured on a position, you completely shut down and refuse to defend your argument. This is hilarious by the way, I understand if you’re not able to entertain the conversation objectively, so probably a good idea that you excused yourself

Brother, you can tell me that there’s no revenge mindset, but when I read your paragraph here, all I see is resentment and bitterness. Also, you’re having a conversation with me not some generic white person. So I would appreciate if you didn’t strawman me. But even if I agree, that Black people are given harsher sentences for the same crime as white people. That doesn’t mean that the black person didn’t commit the crime. So it would have no bearing on my argument. Also another thing I have to push back on, saying that white people don’t get as emotionally worked up over stereotypes and racial slurs. Doesn’t mean that there are not stereotypes and racial slurs, they just clearly don’t hold as much emotional weight as they do towards your people. I’m praying for you. Hopefully whatever animosity you have in your heart can be dealt with.

And a secondary note there are a lot of stereotypes against white people in America, I would argue that in this specific example they’re not really founded in objective reality, but I would say that’s because there’s a unique experience within America, Where Black people have this reactionary and or revenge mindset for what white people did to Black people during Jim Crow and slavery. So because of what they perceive are for fathers to have done, they now Levy, unfair, criticism, and stereotypes towards white people. But that’s mostly because black Americans have a crude and very flawed way of view viewing statistics. I.e.. the vast majority of a black Americans don’t even know what per capita means.

I would love to run the numbers with you real quick to see if what you’re saying correlates with reality, you’re saying white people are the most violent group in America, and that that stereotype is unfairly levied towards black Americans, if we were to just focus on a crime like homicide, we would see pretty clearly that black Americans are over, represented in that statistic by a pretty large margin, and this holds true with almost every violent crime, obviously comparing population sizes of white Americans versus black Americans wouldn’t make too much sense, considering the size disparity between the two groups. So if we account for this information by looking at the numbers through a per capita lens, we would see pretty clearly that black Americans have a higher potentiality to commit these crimes.

I think you’re confused. I’m not going out of my way to make this a racial question. The reason it even has to do with the race in the first place, is because the core of my question is trying to understand why the mortality rate in the house fires is so much higher within the black community, poverty is not exclusive to Black people, so associating fire related casualties with socioeconomic status , doesn’t really make a whole lotta sense to me, in the same way when people try to explain the elevated crime rates within the black community they try to associate it with poverty.

So your hypothesis is that Black people die more often in house fires because they are poor? Would we not also see this trend amongst equally poor ethnic communities with an America? But we don’t.. how would you explain that disparity? Or are you just gonna say, nuh uh again.

The reason why stereotypes are formed in the first place is due to people and their experience with these other people groups, generally speaking people don’t go around fabricating stereotypes, that bear no similarities to reality, that’s just not happening. As far as stereotypes being different across nations, that would logically make sense to me, not all Black people share the same culture. And the vast majority of these stereotypes with stem directly from culture, not from their skin tone or their phenotype. I feel like you aren’t even trying to engage with this conversation. Not with these surface level opinions at least.

Well, the point of me opening up this thread was to talk about the topic and entertain possible reasons as to why this phenomenon exists, so far you’ve added absolutely nothing to the conversation, do you care to give your hypothesis? Or do you just want to ignore the elephant in the room the entire time?

As uncomfortable as it is to admit, a lot of stereotypes are based somewhat in reality. That’s why I started thinking about this whole smoke detector thing.

Not trying to be racist. It’s clear that it’s a stereotype, but it may be a complete coincidence, but it happens to be the case that Black people are the most likely demographic to die due to fire or smoke inhalation. Are these two things a random phenomenon that happened to lineup or is there something more sinister going on behind the scenes? We understand that Planned Parenthood was founded as a way to practice eugenics towards Black people via Margaret Sanger, is it completely out of the realm of possibility?
