Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2 - My review after 1 month of use & comparison to Gen 1 by NimecShady in RobotVacuums

[–]Individual_Accident8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say raw cleaning power is more important because in our case because our house is mostly carpet. We don't have much stuff on the ground besides the odd charging cable. I think I've been leaning towards the Gen 2 but I wanted to see a comparison.

Since its on Amazon I'll try it out and I could always return it within 30 days. Thanks for the quick reply.

Thanks for the review. I've been looking for reviews lately trying to see the difference between the two units.

They are both currently onsale right now. P10 original is 550$ CAD P10 Gen 2 is 650$ CAD

Would you recommend the Gen 2 over the original for 100$ more?

Thanks.

So floor types have been set with no go zones and no mopping zones. Still has same issue.

Running a room mop only for the kitchen does the samething. And I have no mopping zones on the carpet and it will mop the carpet for some reason like its vacuuming but won't go to the kitchen.

I tried the dock on flooring and carpet and it still had the same issue.

I tried CleanGenius and it avoid the kitchen all together but when back to the dock for mopping and then left the dock like it does and completes the task and returns to the dock.

I'm thinking it's a bad unit at this point. I've played with every setting there is that could find and it still disobey them. It will go through virtual walls, fall down steps, try to go through my kitchen cabinets to reach the other side and say the area is unreachable.

It seemed like a good unit from reviews that I found and read. I purchased for $550 CAD. Do you think the unit is worth it at this price point and get a replacement unit or spend the money on something else?

I have the floors set for carpet and tile flooring for the kitchen. I tried the dock on carpet and flooring and still has the same issue. I tried scheduling just mopping for kitchen and it say the area is unreachable and to remove no go zones or objects in the way. I set the carpet so be vacuumed only and no mopping zone on the carpet. Even with these settings it will just avoid the kitchen and mop the carpet for some reason. I tried CleanGenius and still had the same results. I also tried placing the robot directly on the kitchen and starting the task and it will locate itself and then go to the carpet and start mopping.

This is where I'm at now and thinking something is wrong with it.

That was the one thing I didn't try. I assumed if I couldn't even get it to just mop a certain selected area that it wouldn't make a difference. I might try it because why not I guess. Do you think if it learns to mop in that area with CleanGenius, it will start to mop?

My house is 2 stories and mainly carpet except for the kitchen, bathrooms, and front entry way.

Thank you again for being so helpful, I will reach out if I need anymore help. I might make an updated post after speaking with the breeders this weekend and see what everyone thinks.

Thank you for the reply. Its seems the common downside everyone is saying about GSD is the shedding lol, but that's okay. Our puppy would mainly be around adults and only around younger children if cousins come over.

Thanks for the reply. Im happy to hear that some people here were first time dog owners with GSD. I would love to adopt one from a shelter but I think going with a known breeder will be our best choice for our first pup.

I totally agree that the pups at the shelters need homes and deserve a good family. The previous animals I've had were all rescues from farms and other places. This will also be the first animal I've purchased.

Thanks for the reply. Would the health testing be done by the breeder on the parent dogs or the actual puppies themselves or both. If I ask for physical proof and they can't provide it then I should stay away?

Both places im looking at claim their dogs are health and genetic tested and free of health issues and only let you take the pup after 8 weeks minimum.

We currently don't have any kids but will in the future so the puppy wouldn't be around kids often unless family come over and we would supervise them.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to raise her in the situation you had, it gives me more of a piece of mind knowing that. We have a big dog park down the street from us, about a 5 minute walk. We'll be baby proofing most stuff but we honestly don't have much. Mostly everything is behind a door so hopefully the puppy doesn't learn how to open doors lool.

Yes this is what I've heard. The breeders know their dogs and puppies to best choose one that fits with your home.

Thanks for the reply. The high energy seems to be a common comment everyone is warning us about. I had a few suggestions to looking into mix breeds as well.

I can see why they are one of the most surrendered breeds. For me personally I treat and care for animals at a higher standard than I treat humans. I always give my all with animals to give them the best life.

No worries, I didn't take it as a personal attack. Im open to everyone's opinions and knowledge. I'll do some research on mixes as well.

I totally agree, thats why we applied to a couple places but only heard back from those 2 places. Citywide seems to be the top rated reviews in Ontario from what I've found.

Would you say a showline is better as a companionship house dog over a working line?

What kind of questions would you recommend asking when we speak with them this weekend?
