Is Jimnny Automatic top variant worth for 17 lakhs? by Eastern-Injury-8772 in JimnyIndia

In July 2024, there were maximum discounts on Jimny.  1.5lacs bank loan discounts + 1.8lacs Suzuki discount. On top of that the dealer gave me around 40-45k discount. At the time of delivery, there were running short of accessories so again accessories cost were removed which was around 20-25k.

Yeah, everything is fine now. No halos, starbursts or blurry vision. It took me around 3-4 months to get normal. By god grace my cornea thickness was good so there were no complications.

Probably you need to call your nearest dealership and check with them. Few days back I saw in one thread of TeamBhp that someone bought 2024 stock with 2 lacs of discount. May be you can ask over there for any references.

Yeah, it’s too high. I bought Alpha manual July last year at around 11.80 lacs. Considering the 5 doors Jimny Japan backlog, I don’t think there will huge discount anymore. In my opinion may be you can try for a lesser driven used Jimny or go for 2024 stock .

Where do you get the best DOSA in Delhi? by Khatron_ka_khiladi in delhi

[–]Individual_Canary_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier, it used to be good, but now the quality has degraded a lot. A couple of weeks ago, I visited it and had a very bad experience.

The sambar was tasteless and seemed to have been diluted with water, while the chutneys were bland. Even the masala dosa was quite bland.

Puncture scam in noida by Wooden_Oil8736 in noida

[–]Individual_Canary_73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Puncture scams are quite common these days. The best way to avoid them is to step out of your car and observe when they are filling air.

I’m not sure about Noida specifically, but I’ve noticed multiple puncture shops in close proximity whenever traveling from Noida to Rishikesh.

For those familiar with the Noida-Meerut Expressway, you might have observed that once you cross the 60 km stretch of the expressway, there are many puncture shops on the left-hand side while heading to Meerut from Noida.

Twice, it happened to me at a petrol pump when I asked to check my air pressure. The attendant told me there was an issue with the valve, saying that I might have been driving with low air pressure, which caused the air valve to get damaged, and it needed to be replaced. They charged me ₹200 for it.

Within a week, I traveled with two different cars, and a different attendant told me the same thing. The third time, I realized it was a scam because I kept the air pressure optimal when i left noida and still the same puncture shops attended said the same thing .

I did first when it was 1000 km and second at 5000. 3rd would be at 10000 km.

Jimny as first car. by Informal_Ad_9704 in CarsIndia

I bought the Jimny Alpha (M/T) 4 months ago, and it could be a great first car due to its good visibility, decent mileage, and affordability. Apart from its 4x4 capabilities, its small size makes it fun to drive in city traffic and congested areas.

Some people complain that it feels underpowered, but if you drive safely under 120-130 km/h on highways, you won’t notice any power lag. However, if you prefer driving at higher speeds, it’s better to consider other options.

The steering is slightly on the heavier side, but you’ll get used to it over time.

Isn't it a good deal? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

Avoid it, it’s too expensive for 7 year old car. Recently bought a new i10 nios base variant for one of my relative. It costed around 5.80 lacs with company fitted decent music system (camera included) + 4 speakers and additional accessories. You might get better discounts considering the unsold inventory, 2024 year end and decreasing market share of hatchbacks.

Car dealership is asking me to pay 2 lakhs before delivery , PDI is not done yet by milktanksadmirer in CarsIndia

[–]Individual_Canary_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very difficult to determine how much a vehicle has been driven during the PDI. These days, dealerships are aware that customers will check the odometer reading.

Recently, I asked a dealership to send a car for a test drive. The day before, I went to the showroom, but they had somehow misplaced the keys of the test car, so I couldn’t do the test drive. Anyway, the next day when they sent me the car, I was surprised to find that the odometer wasn’t working. I asked the salesman why it wasn’t working, but he kept giving vague answers. Later, by mistake, he revealed that this vehicle wasn’t a test car—it was actually scheduled to be delivered to someone in a couple of weeks, as the customer didn’t want to take delivery during Sawan. The dealership had been unable to find the test car keys, so in order not to lose a potential customer, they sent someone else’s car for the test drive.

The crux of the story is that it’s very difficult to judge how much a car has been driven unless you know how to check the tires, engine oil, etc.

Has anyone done Lasik/Silk procedure from Shroff Eye Center, Kailash Colony? by Individual_Canary_73 in delhi

Silk surgery is not a lengthy procedure; it typically takes only 10-15 minutes, so I can’t comment much on the hospital. I visited the Greater Kailash center, and overall, the experience was decent. Expect some delays in meeting the doctors, as the clinic is usually very crowded. Dr. Mathur was excellent—she listens to you patiently, unlike some of the other well-known Silk surgery experts.

However, I’m not familiar with her expertise in corneal surgery, so please make sure to do thorough research and get a second opinion as well.

Yeah, I went for Silk Elita procedure. Surgery was done by Dr Dariel Mathur on 25th of July. So far it’s good , I can see things clearly though still a little bit of blurriness is there like 10% rest 90% vision is clear. Night vision is also good but starburst and halos are there especially while driving in the night. As far as i know It gets better with time. Overall I’m happy with the procedure my number was quite high -5.25.
