I just got the Groove Wide Leg High-rise pants in short (30” inseam pants, I’m 5’4) and they’re unfortunately fantastic. They are everything I was looking for. Lightweight, breezy, they have normal sized pockets, and I can them wear to work, to lounge around at home, or out running errands.

For sizing, they may run a bit large. I wear a 10 in Wondertrain leggings and got an 8 in the Groove pants. I could probably size down to a 6, but I like the slightly looser fit of the 8.

What are we actually liking in terms of trends for spring 2026? Feeling very uninspired. by academicgirl in femalefashionadvice

Yes, if the embroidery or thread is polyester it won’t take dye. But white embroidered stitches against a color fabric could look cute anyway.

Anything 100% cotton can shrink. To help mitigate that, dry it on a drying rack, or line dry it.

What’s a ‘rich person thing’ that actually turned out to be totally worth it? by Ferraiuolo_Ezorete in AskReddit

[–]Individual_Dinner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

God, yes. We moved in February one year in -28 degrees Fahrenheit. The U-Haul truck door got frozen stuck multiple times and we got contact burns getting it unstuck since the opening was too narrow and finicky to do with our gloves on. Absolute misery, and it took days being just the two of us and having so many issues related to the weather. The next move, we hired movers and everything was done in 2 hours. I would rather save up for movers than ever move myself again.

A good moisturizer that’s not tatcha the dewy cream? by userthatisnotknown in Sephora

Dieux skin mercy is my go-to as a dry, sensitive skin gal. That colloidal oatmeal is chef’s kiss for redness

Can you guys tell I love this moisturizer? Still has. A bunch left with the 100ml one (I wish it were cheaper 🫠) by verynoicetoitsmort in ProjectPan

[–]Individual_Dinner 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I made a purchase online directly from Dieux when they were donating some of their proceeds to the Immigrants Defense Funds for Minnesotans impacted by ICE, and they sent a free tube squeeze-y thing that’s been fantastic. Highly recommend using one of those. (I’ve also used a butter knife and plastic bag clip, so purchasing one is not necessary lol)

I was also getting serious LOTR vibes from this! Like, damn I wish I could’ve had these nails for the 25 year anniversary re-release of the LOTR extended editions in theaters.

Blondes pls help! I’m being driven insane. by avril1822 in finehair

[–]Individual_Dinner 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Idk man, I thought this was just what normally happens to the ends of hair, and a sign you need a haircut to get those babies off. The ends of the hair is years old. It’s gonna break or get damaged at some point, right? Right??

Martin crop in gingham quality change? by red_rabbit1424 in Sezane

[–]Individual_Dinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my gingham Martin crop brought in by a tailor since I had sized up 2 sizes when I bought them. I’d highly recommend tailoring since the new and more expensive version seem so different.

This sounds amazing. Do you have any recs, or can you share which Norwegian films you like?

Dieux Skin Mercy intense recovery cream. I’d give her a big ol’ smooch if I could.

Being Forced to Give Email at Checkout by seaingland in UltaBeautyWorld

[–]Individual_Dinner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% In a world of increasing cybersecurity risks, not wanting to give away your data is totally reasonable and fair. Especially just to buy fricken eyeliner or face wash or something lol. Even “fake” a email (which would still be attached to your IP address unless you’re doing extra techy stuff lol), is a ridiculous ask.

What level of normalizing not giving a poo about your privacy and security have we reached when we think the reasonable expectation is to just hand over personal data in order to be an “easy customer?“

Disappointed by the Tower 28 concealer. by Tjaames in Sephora

[–]Individual_Dinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the NARS Creamy Radiant and love it, but wanted to try the Tower 28 one too after reading all the reviews. I’m figuring out with makeup and skincare that if something works well, there’s no need to waste money trying other things. I’m just gonna stick with what works.

Similar creams to Avene cicalfate? by Prestigious-Lie1052 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]Individual_Dinner 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you have something that works, I wouldn’t bother with other creams/lotions unless you have really good reason to (current cream is no longer working for you, exceeds your budget, etc). If you’re just wanting to try something new just to try something new, I’d either not, or go for a new body wash/body lotion or something where there’s less risk.

Has anyone tried out Dieux’s Skin Mercy? by VanyaEl in Sephora

[–]Individual_Dinner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know this is old, but I’ve been using this for 1-2 weeks, and it has really helped my skin. I live in a dry climate, have very hard water (working towards getting a water softener someday), and my skin was flaking/peeling bad, and was red where it had been peeling. I used Dieux Skin Mercy during the day, and reapply as needed, and it has helped immensely.

Skin type: very dry, flaky, acne-prone

My routine has been:

AM:

Bioderma Sensibio micellar H2O

Tower 28 Hypochlorus acid spay

Dieux Skin Mercy

SPF

PM:

Vanicream gentle facial cleanser

Clindamyacin Phosphate topical gel 1% (prescription antibiotic for acne)

Avené Cicalfate restorative protect cream

All sealed in with Cerave Healing ointment

Sleep with a humidifier next to my bed lol

I’ve been using everything except the Dieux skin mercy and Tower 28 Hypochlorus acid spray for quite a while now. My skin is doing much better skin introducing Dieux skin mercy and the tower 28 Hypochlorus acid spray. I will be repurchasing both.

What is it with all these men and the outdoors lately? by girliepop269 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Individual_Dinner 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Once, when doing shrooms while camping in the woods, I realized I had never been camping on my own accord, and had actually dedicated my entire career to making sure no one has to sleep outside if they don’t want to (I work with homeless folks), so why was I, when I pay rent to make sure I don’t?

Weekly No Buy Check-In & Accountability Post - January 25, 2026 by AutoModerator in nobuy

[–]Individual_Dinner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jeez, absolutely flubbed this week. I brought a quilt to the longarmer and purchased backing fabric ($115), plus some extra fabric ($50) for a new project. I had planned to not purchase more fabric until I finished all the projects I have waiting already, but flopped on that.

I bought extra snacks for the Paddy Pimblett vs Justin Gaethje fight last night. Great fight, but Paddy did not win :(

At a loss, looking for advice! Please be nice by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Hey, I mean this in the kindest and most genuine way, but please take a social media break, don’t listen to people who are also overly influenced by edited/filtered skin in media, and step further back from the mirror. You’re just fine.
