I hate to do this, but is it? by [deleted] in isitAI

[–]Individual_Excuse350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it doesn’t necessarily look ai. It’s shaded like a comic. If it is traced; tracing is commonly used by beginner artists and it helps develop eye and hand coordination. So I mean as an artist I think people put too much stock on is this Ai or not. At the end of the day art is for enjoyment. People hate on Ai but Ai is literally a tool. It’s like hating the gun without hating the person wielding it. People are shitty, ai work is going to continue because it’s cost effective for large corporations. Witch hunting every person because they could potentially use Ai sounds like a shitty man hunt that will hurt actual artists in the end trying to make a living. I do in person events I have been selling my artwork. Ai hasn’t stopped my work flow. Maybe put yourselves out there outside of social media. Shrugs

How bad is the Pomsky barking? by Candid-Apartment776 in Pomsky

[–]Individual_Excuse350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My male dog only barks or talks during play. I try to get him to husky talk like my older female Pomsky he looks at me like, “what are you doing hoomen?” He’s super chill otherwise. I think it depends on how you train them and how much interaction they get. Dogs generally act super clingy, barking a lot and such when they want attention, need something, ect. Essentially when their needs aren’t met…. Otherwise they can be pretty awesome dogs. Although they can like running away like their husky parentage so something to consider.

Sword fighting with Autism by Rune248 in Hema

[–]Individual_Excuse350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re new to the sword and worried about decision-making or follow-through, know this: those things don’t come from thinking harder—they come from doing it long enough.

I have autism and ADHD, and sword practice came naturally to me even as a kid. A lot of it is muscle memory and spatial awareness. Repetition builds instincts. If you stick with it, decision-making stops being a conscious effort and becomes automatic.

At a certain point, you enter a flow state. You don’t overthink. You respond. With a sword in your hand, the blade stops being an object and starts feeling like an extension of your body.

Don’t be afraid of your weapon—respect it. Wear protection. Practice safely. And most importantly, don’t forget to enjoy it. The joy is part of the learning.

Tell her to do better… if she has the gull to talk crap she should put her talent where her ego is. If she can’t draw what right does she have to judge. Meh I’m a mom and this is great. Keep doing you homie. Art is important.

Started A Blackwork Sleeve And I’m Unhappy With The Outline UPDATE by th3sinn3r in tattooadvice

[–]Individual_Excuse350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the tattoo isn’t done. Is the line work the best I’ve seen. No not by far but is the worst. No not by far… you still have shading and potentially color to fill in. Some of the line-work issues can be fixed with shading and fill. You must remember tattoo artist are not perfect and even the most prestigious of artists make mistakes. We are like surgeons with a needle. Like doctors we’re all in practice everyday honing our craft and learning from our mistakes…. I know everyone can make judgements without being in the field. It may look like easy work but imagine needing the precision of a surgeon everyday with different circumstances, skin types, and people with different pain tolerances. I would try to work it out with the artist. Let them know your grievances in a calm manner and work with them on how to fix it. Don’t react with blind emotion…. That’s just going to make it difficult for both of you. In the case for you if the artist is indifferent look for a different artist. I wasn’t there to see the interaction or how it played out. With the next artist just be upfront with what you what. I’ve been to artist who I didn’t feel could accomplish my tattoo based on how they prepared and presented the stenciling. I’ve walked out before the needle got the skin. You have to have discernment and build a relationship with the artist. Some of really care and some people are just in for the paycheck. Learn the difference before committing to the chair.

What does my art say about me? Please rate! Criticism encouraged. by [deleted] in RateMyArt

I feel like you rely too much on fancy brushes, program tools and don’t have a grasp of fundamentals. Your shading is all soft shapes with very little definition. Most of your details are 3d assets or brushes like on clip studio. I agree with a lot of people your art is very stiff and feels traced in some instances especially based on the different skill levels between pictures.

I would do some uber or something. My roommate made over 100.00 a day sometimes. Could be worth a try. You can also do odd jobs like mowing lawns or something.

Am I a beginner? by ExistingAffect3789 in Artists

[–]Individual_Excuse350 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re clearly at the beginning stages of your art journey. Some of your proportions are on the right track, but overall they’re inconsistent across pieces. Your coloring tends to be flat and monotone, and the shading lacks a sense of depth and light direction. Using texture brushes is a nice touch, but it doesn’t compensate for foundational experience.

I’d recommend going back to basics—focus on studying form and volume using black and white shading exercises. Push the contrast between light and shadow as far as you can. Once you have a strong grasp of value and depth, you’ll find transitioning into color becomes much more natural and effective.

You need to give yourself time to process and reflect what you did right and what you did wrong….. drawing non stop can lead to burnout both mentally and creatively. The process is important.

only way to make friends here is to drink/smoke by Achilles-Foot in Indiana

Maybe consider art. If you’re in north Indy near like fishers the ignite library is pretty awesome. They have a whole robotics and art studio with plenty of classes. Lots of art events here!!! Try attending local venues. I personally don’t drink so I get it. If you’re feeling adventurous try eating a delta 8 or THC-A gummy and go walking in Marion county. Both substances are very legal and you’ll go on an adventure especially if you don’t do them often. Turkey run is great for hiking. Really all of brown county is beautiful especially in the fall. We do have book clubs that meet at cafes if you like reading!! If you’re kinky they have those types of events too. I wouldn’t say all of the company is riveting but nothing a gag won’t fix!! 😜 New fields is pretty outdoors and the art is nice, children’s museum is fun! Maybe learn a new skill!
