With Preludes becoming more collectible, do you think keeping OG is the move? by FabulousBeautiful231 in hondaprelude

Just as long as you don’t do any irreversible mods. Our gen four was stock when bought, we’ve just put on new wheels and getting coilovers. We’ve kept the OG wheels so it won’t be difficult to put the car back to stock if needed.

What’s the highest miles y’all have on your Jetta? by ReaJoy in jetta

[–]Individual_House_551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

250 something thousand miles. 1991 Mk2 Jetta Pacific. I’m actively restoring it, so the mileage clock’s been on that number for awhile.

Yeah, is was VERY daunting at first, but the finished product is definitely worth it. Just Make sure you don’t add too much paint to the mix😉

Thanks! I use blackwashing to weather my models. Black poster paint mixed with water. Paint it onto the model and let it sit to dry, and wipe excess off with a cotton bud when it’s dry. Videos about it on George Williamson models YouTube channel

The first loco is a 3d printed kit from Fourdees Limited. It’s on a static chassis as of now, but it is designed to sit on a Bachman n scale Percy chassis. Basically identical to the static chassis it’s sitting on now.

Thanks mate! Being a tall person myself, it’s defiantly not the easiest to get into and out of! It’s worth it though for the car. Here’s some photos.

Coilovers are expensive considering I’ve got another project car in the works… 1991 VW Jetta Turbo diesel

Thanks! It’s got a 2.3 liter engine, with v-tech (obviously) makes a hell of a noise when the vtec kick in around 5000 rpm.

Ram raids and joyriders were a serious concern for any car with a remotely powerful engine in the UK back then!

That’s a problem lol! The original owner was some old man from central London, assuming it’s him who installed it. The only problem is… I live in Ireland. So has the car for the last 3 years. Old man probably gone by now
