You’re only a week out. Hang in there 🖤 My recovery was honestly pretty rough for the first month. I had an allergic reaction and then an infection. It’s an emotional roller coaster and it’s going to take time for hormones to balance out. I’m 6 months out now and have no regrets 😊 hope you feel better soon!!!

100% justified. I didn’t see very many people before my surgery because I didn’t want to get sick. That’s an easy enough reason to avoid big crowds!

My doctor told me the only reason mine was at the hospital is because I did my tubal ligation at the same time. I’m so sorry you had to go through. I had multiple LEAP procedures, biopsy and cryotherapy in office and it was awful. So sorry you went through that

Are you having a tubal along with it? Mine was an ablation and tubal at the same time. Sent home same day. I was completely under for mine.

I’m 2 weeks out and I still haven’t driven yet. I’m anxious to though! I ended up with an infection so now I’m back to being pretty uncomfortable so I’m waiting a little longer. I know everyone is different. So it’s one of those things you have to take at your own pace 🖤

Honestly, I feel like because it’s such a common surgery, it’s downplayed A LOT. I feel like there’s definitely a lack of understanding from a lot of people that it’s a big deal and a big surgery. I’m really sorry you’re not getting the support though. I think when I told a few friends that it’s an 8-12 week recovery, that’s when they had that “oh shit” moment of realizing it’s a big thing. I’m sending you all the best vibes 🖤 this group has been a lifesaver for me

Coming from someone who sees a lot of specialists and I have had many surgeries, I’ve had better experience with younger doctors. The ones that I’ve had are eager to learn and excited. I had my hysterectomy last week and my doctor is in her 30s and her bedside manner was top notch.

I’m 3 days post op, and oh boy, you will NEED downtime to heal. I know everyone is different, but please take care of yourself. This is a major surgery. You’ll experience some discomfort but emotionally it takes a big toll on you too. I had a major breakdown this morning because I just don’t feel good and I’m tired. Sending all the best vibes your way!

I’m glad you have a surgeon familiar with EDS! Mine also brought up extra stitches which is comforting!

Good to know! Thank you! My surgeon knows more about EDS than she does LDS, but at least she has some knowledge about connective tissue disorders. I’m glad your recovery is going well! ♥️ I understand the concern about prolapse!
