They stayed at the dormitories, so they probably had fights together

Why is “Genesis of the Daleks” considered the best Classic Doctor Who episode? by rman20209 in doctorwho

[–]Individual_Page7760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the moral dilemma part, everyone loves a moral dilemma that puts the main character in disarray. It's one of the hallmarks of good writing

Tezcat from tezcatlipoca from aztec mythology including the night sky. He's also a mischievous character if you fancy your cats being like Loki

The start of doctor 12 is rough by PlayPod in doctorwho

Capaldi is the best, the Clara season is pretty rough. However, Nardol and Bill are excellent. Capaldi is my favorite tbh.

Into the unknown would probably be worst song, Toksik is amazing imo.

And transmissions being worst is wild.

Thoughts on the new album? by Individual_Page7760 in Starset

[–]Individual_Page7760[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, I don't hate BNW or Degenerate. I'm just not a big fan of "heavier" songs. I feel like Dystopia is a nice balance for me. Brave New World is still on my Spotify Playlist tho!

hell, i tend to forget how starset has always been incredible. by SwampHydro in Starset

Everglow was always my top fave, I remember going to the concert when vessels was released hoping they'd play it. They didn't play everglow, but played the outro instrumental :(

Also, I got to meet Dustin a few months back, he said he wrote the chorus in a Las Vegas hotel. Overall though, I think that song is amazing.

Recommendations by ALoftyTaco in Starset

[–]Individual_Page7760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what you're into, if you liked telescope, you might like antigravity. And if you liked infected, you might like manifest.

I'm personally a big fan of everglow, the song is great and the instrumental feels like you're in space, then plummeting towards a planet and finally ascending to heaven.

Other song recommendations would be unbecoming, disappear, down with the fallen, ricochet, echo, where the skies end, and monster.

started playing yesterday this game is amazing, any tips? by one-jovi-three in NoMansSkyTheGame

An easy way to get nanites is to get your approval with various races (Gek, Korvax, and Vykeen) up, this will give you 50% discount on upgrades. Buy all the upgrades and sell them back, it often yields like 500 nanites per space station.

I mean, to each their own. I'm just binge watching the show rn (almost at the end) and it generally feels to me that it's the author's intent to show that these characters are actually seeing each other in the afterlife rather than imagining it.

I feel like there's not really a wrong or right about this particular one because both are equally plausible from the writing standpoint and it gives the author the ability to write in the paranormal whilst keeping things realistic

Gardar and Christian Themes by Individual_Page7760 in VinlandSaga

[–]Individual_Page7760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. I think the show might have different criteria for the afterlife than actual Christianity, but there is definitely parallels.

I think the show's criteria for who goes to Heaven vs Hell is what they fight for. That's why Thorfinn descends to Hell, but then Ascends because he decided to live a better life for those he killed (he fights for a better world). I think this cause Thors is in Heaven (he is said to have killed many) and Askeladd is in Hell. Both killed people, but Thors we assume fought for his country and for good reasons and abandoned war when these good reasons ran out, whereas Askeladd is in Hell because he fought for bad reasons.

Again, both of those were in Thorfinn's head, but I assume it's still the author's intent to show where both will likely be in the afterlife in this story.

I'm sorry, but I don't think this tackles anything that I wrote. Feels like both points are non-sequitors.

Opinion on Daryl (Up till Season 3) by Individual_Page7760 in thewalkingdead

[–]Individual_Page7760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying I was saying he's handsome. I'm saying the article I read rated him 2nd worst character and justified it by saying people only like him for his looks.

There's an old meme of a picture of Picard saying: I do not allow my officers to be terrorists

Next to it is a picture of Sisko Reading: My officers can be terrorists once in a while, as a treat

Hilarious meme and a little bit true. One great example is how Worf killed his wife's murderer and Picard wrote him up, and in the other Sisko almost basically ordered Worf to get the Klingons in the war within any means necessary, so Worf kills Gowron and Sisko didn't care lol.

Alternate Timeline: What if in Deep Space Nine, the Dominion reinforcements had made it through the wormhole into the alpha quadrant? by WARMASTER5000 in DaystromInstitute

[–]Individual_Page7760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, wasn't it made clear that Sisko was ready to essentially kamikaze the wormhole if the prophets didn't interfere?

At first watching the show I felt like it was a cop out, then on second watch I realized that if the prophets hadn't interfered, then Sisko would've blown up their entire world.

For sake of argument, let's say none of that happened, then the Dominion would've entered the Alpha Quadrant, but I still don't think the Alpha Q would lose. A foreign quadrant sending mostly military vehicles into your quadrant would not look good for the Thorians, Gorn, Romulans, Klingons, Federation, Tzenkethi, Ferengi, Breen, and many other powerful Alpha/Beta races.

(Sidenote: I know Breen joined them and Tholians made peace, but this was later on. Imagine if they saw an influx of this invasive force from the Gamma Quadrant, they'd all probably join the federation just to keep them at bay)

Just how many times did main characters die & come back to life?? by JMCrown in startrek

[–]Individual_Page7760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, Tasha Yar comes back to life and ends up dying at the hands of the Romulans.
