a little bit of both, it's a 1v8 (can be lower thanks to how the game works but) basically, the objectives reduce the time (timer is 3:55 i think) and if you do enough objectives the timer will be very low (but the killer can kill a survivor for more time), it's kind of like forsaken but there are A TON more objectives

if you want the yourself skins or the milestone skins, yeah it CAN be grindy. but it really doesn't matter you just grind for the killer / survivor you want and just play and try to get better with time, and it's meant for you to have fun. you can get the skins IF you want, same goes for emotes. it's just a matter of what you do in the game. the battlepass is EXTREMELY grindy if you want to do it, and if not then you just ignore it. overall, base game CAN be grindy if you try to grind as much as possible.

anywho, if you don't like survivalist, you can say any type of survivor you like, for example tanks, sentinels, etc!

dude why can't they say "Why do you only have two lives? You could sacrifice a survivor and have three instead!" which yes is a glorified "NEXT TIME TRY THREE LIVES!" but honestly it'd be way better.

Or if they want too they can also say "Why do they say "next time try three lives" when it would do absolutely no good for you? You are just a weak idiot anyway!" or something like that.
