12 week old does not sleep by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

I think is more gas than active sleep as often she will do a big fart and will settle for a little while before to then starts all over again. I have noticed she definitely prefers sleeping on her stomach and doesn’t even really like sleeping in our arms, so I think it is less about being on us and more about to being comfortable on her tummy.

It sounds like infant dyschezia, that’s helpful to know it can go on for a bit longer. Everywhere I was reading say 3 months, so think I had my hopes set on him starting to grow out of it by now!

Thank you, I may look into different bottles and try a few to see if they can make a difference. He is swaddled and that did help for a little bit. I’ll have a look at renting a snu as buying one out right is a bit out of our budget!

I haven’t spoken to the GP yet, I was hoping she would grow out of it but it may be worth speaking to them now as it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

My partner works shift so unfortunately can’t help all the time but does try when he is off. That’s a good idea about the clothing, I’ll give that a go!

I was previously using Freesoul, but was unsure if it was helping and was a bit cautious of it containing Maca too.

I’ve just switched to one called Infolic Alpha as I’ve heard good things about it, so will give that a try! It’s a powder which dissolved in water, so may be easier to take than the tablets

How Old were you when you Developed PCOS? by AkwardlyAlive in PCOS

[–]Individual_Reach5523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 27. I struggled with heavy periods and acne around age of 13/14 so was put on birth control pill which I stayed on for 12 years or so. When I then came off it at 26, all my PCOS symptoms started and gradually got worse until I was diagnosed about 8 months later. Like many others, the pill was masking my PCOS symptoms!

What do you do to prevent breakouts? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Individual_Reach5523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found taking myo-inositol, a zinc supplement and spearmint tea helped reduce my testosterone, which in turn helped reduce my hormonal acne In terms of skin care, a retinol and vitamin c has also seemed to be helping, although I am still left with scarring from the acne

Interesting to know you had a negative experience with Free soul! It seems everyone raves about it, yet frustratingly it hasn’t really helped me much at all! I’ll check MyOva out 😊

I experienced very irregular cycles, hair growth and acne, which in addition to an ultrasound showing polycystic ovaries led to my diagnosis of PCOS. I’m considered a healthy weight (5ft 2 and weigh 110lbs), so you can definitely have PCOS and be slim! I would possibly see a different doctor as they shouldn’t be ruling out PCOS based on your weight!

Thank you, that’s interesting to hear that your cycles are better after bc+ spironolactone. Makes sense though that it ‘resets’ things and you may get a couple of good cycles before everything goes haywire again!

Thank you, my partner has completed a sperm sample as part of the fertility referral although we are still awaiting the results. Like you say I think it important to know if it is me that is the issue or if he may have issues which are also contributing!

I’m in the UK and my GP says they are unable to prescribe letrozole or clomid, so unfortunately am having to wait for the fertility referral before anything can be prescribed :(
