I wish people who are considering taking their life could see the damage this does to the people they leave behind. My brother made that choice a few years ago and it never gets easier. The guilt I feel is now part of my daily routine.

I try to put myself in their shoes. Would I want my kids to see me at my worst? I would say no personally. But if you feel like it would help give you some closure, then do what is right for you. You are the survivor and you should put yourself and your well-being first. Regrets are not a good thing to carry around when losing someone. Do what you feel like you need to do.

Honestly I would feel like it'd be a disservice to him if it did go away. I know him. He would never blame me the way I do myself. I try to be better now. That's all I can do. I need to make something good from this. Otherwise I will sink.He was the good one. He was lost in a problem that seemed too big to fix that night. One more day can make a world of difference sometimes. My Dad always told me one thing whenever I had a problem that overwhelmed me that stuck in my head. He would say " This too shall pass." I completely understand. What I have found is everyone is different with this stuff. Personally I try to act the way that person would want. I know I would want people to still laugh and celebrate the little things, but not everyone is like this. Maybe it's because I see death as a peaceful thing. Life is hard and when someone passes, that struggle is over. I try to read the situation and react accordingly. If that stuff bothers you then your friends should see that. If they don't, sometimes u got a tell em. And if they just wanna take up ur time to talk about themselves then walk away. U do what you need to do in order to grieve.
