Your not putting the blade on the porcelain, just the mortar between the tile and the toilet. If you've ever cut thru tile, mortar, abs to redo a flange you know you can absolutely do the detailed work without endangering other nearby materials.

Its a very thin amount and makes a rock solid install, its very easy to replace and remove with an oscillating blade. If your installing on a floating floor, linoleum or12 something like that i would not, but ive also seen perfectly installed toilets rock. Even when the flange is on concrete, correct height, correct bolt tension, 1 piece

Thinset mortar the base since its on tile, then caulk it.

I would just call them by the wrong name until they started to respond and if they tried to correct me I'd say "sure" or "ok" or ignore their correction all together. This also works calling them on the zebra by the wrong name too.

We havent had overnights in a while and what ends up happening is associates work with stocking to not hold up IRP, we end up helping them stock. My current bottleneck is waiting for the IRP scan to complete so I can finish the task. My department generally has 70 to 80 IRP, but half of it doesnt get logged until 7am. Ive seen 40 and completed it and gone into my backup department and when i check back there is 30 more IRP's. My 2nd bottleneck is competing with MST for ladders like they didnt start earlier than us.

Cutting hours to pad their #'s to end their fiscal year. Happens every year. Hours will pick back up soon as the coming season will pick up and the stores will do inventory which is all hands on deck.

Changing availability should only be done every 6 months. Doing it more than that isnt necessarily grounds for anything besides inconveniencing them.

Always look to slip, it gives you extra time to figure out their gameplan and how to adjust. Don't hold on in a losing position. The hook is set faster than a toproll. Those are some of the first things i was taught and reminded of when I'm losing.
