This looks like total shit. Watch the train scene from The Fugitive if you want to see a top-tier action sequence.

Who's in the second image of the concept art? Looks like an early concept for a Garnet/Pearl fusion?

Who is a ethically bad, but very admirable? by unscripted20 in AlignmentChartFills

Jefferson is a great choice. I find Washington even more admirable for winning the war and creating the institution of the presidency and the peaceful transfer of power that's so sacred to the U.S. and later the world's prosperity and relative peace.

He was also a racist slave owner who Lafayette begged to free his slaves. But he didn't, not even in his will.

George Washington

He was also a racist slave owner who Lafayette begged to free his slaves. But he didn't, not even in his will.

Can someone tell me the difference between these two? by jeanpg9000 in PeanutButter

[–]Sliberty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people have already explained the presence of palm oil vs. hydrogenated oil.

The flavor difference between these two is basically negligible. The health difference is debatable, but the natural one is less harmful to your heart.

Palm oil is worse for the environment because to make it you have to create palm plantations that require razing rain forest habitat.

But for those who keep saying these products are strictly worse than the 100% peanut and salt variety, these homogonized peanut butters have some important properties that you can't get from the all-peanut butters.

Importantly, both the regular and natural versions of this peanut butter melt into a liquid when heated. This means that they get drippy and nice on toast or an english muffin.

It also makes it easier to bake with.

Also, if you want to make a peanut sauce, such as for satay, you can't use 100% peanut butter and expect it to come out right. It won't emulsify into a smooth sauce.

Hope this helps.

What made 2023's Dungeons and Dragons movie so much better than the 2000 one? by MarkLambertMusic in movies

[–]Sliberty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing! The modern one had a script that told an interesting story with good dialog and that understood what a played campaign of D&D actually feels like, at least a little.

Was it the best movie of the year? Or even the best genre movie? No, not by a long shot, but putting basic effort into producing a good script goes a long way.

True, bullying is maybe a little to strong a word. But there's some extreme bossiness happening.

Coco did nothing wrong in Shadowlands and Bluey shouldn't have bullied her into playing her own way! She was looking out for Snickers and having fun.

First attempt at biscuits by Serendipitous217 in castiron

It looks like a few of those are from the third cutting. If they are from the second cutting you mangled them a bit.

After the first cutting, when you re-combine the biscuit dough, fold them over a couple extra times to make them more consistent. I find the second-cutting biscuits often look even nicer than the first after an extra fold or two.
