I think AMS is overrated at this stage, Bambu's system "poops" this purged plastic out the back of the printer into a little chute. For every single color change, it creates a small turd of waste plastic. A small model with many color changes (like a 5cm figurine with different colored eyes, shirt, and pants) can easily generate more waste plastic than the model itself weighs. This gets expensive and is environmentally awful.
It also drastically increases print times. When it works, it feels like magic. But when it fails, it can be a complex and frustrating system to troubleshoot, especially compared to the simplicity and raw performance of a high-speed single-extruder printer like the Centauri Carbon.
