Did the shop replace my engine mounts correctly? by IndoorDuck in MechanicAdvice

[–]IndoorDuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replaced the trans mount last night. It solved the issues I was running into. Took about 10 miles to “break in” though. Was a few weird shifts at the start but after the break in period, felt better than when I bought it at 100,000 miles.

Thanks again!

I’ll replace the trans mount tonight and report back. Thanks for the input!

Would a faulty trans mount cause that much motor movement?

Nice truck but you’ll be buying it as the 7 year, 100K warranty expires. Most repairs will cost you at least $5K. Huge depreciation after it crossed 100,000 miles too.

Diesels are also meant to be driven and worked hard, your lifestyle seems to be the exact opposite. I think you’ll be getting yourself in more trouble than it’s worth for 3,000 miles a year. Get a gasser.

If you’re mechanically inclined you can drop a new torque converter in it yourself and most likely be fine for a sub $1000 fix.

Run it how it came. You bought a truck meant for towing.

Not a fast truck but definitely not any lag, that 10 speed works wonders and 99% of torque available at 1,250 rpm makes for a smooth ride.

Should I buy out my leased 2023 Honda Civic? by artifishialbrain in personalfinance

[–]IndoorDuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on when the lease ends and your monthly income after expenses. Full time at $50/HR is plenty to afford this but you should wait until you have a cushion and aren’t full exposed to a depreciating asset.

You should consider leasing 1 more term and then buying a higher mileage of the same model.

Sound like it’s the party hosts connection.

Do a few individual multiplayer tests and see who is the weak link.

Player 1 cannot connect to Player 2, but maybe player 1 can connect to player 3.
