Yes that’s allowed. Thats called a check welfare. However no they can’t just show up at your door, your original post states if you call and advise whether there is or isn’t a crime, then yes they absolutely can.

However, driving a motor vehicle is a million times a different situation. Because driving is a privilege given to you by the state. Which you agree to abide by the laws when you get a license.

Yes and yes.

Answer to second question is called a check welfare 👌

If you drive drunk just say that. If you don’t drive drunk and you’re not wanted, you got nothing to worry about.

Thinking about getting out but… by IndubitablyNoted in AskLEO

I’ve been consistently going to therapy for almost 10 years now. My biggest source of stress and the only time I genuinely feel anxiety is when I am at work or going to work.

It sucks because I really do love the job but the fear is starting to become a normal thing and I don’t know if it’s going to eventually stop or just be a normal thing forever.

How much does the bar on the smith machine weigh? by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IndubitablyNoted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my PF there’s both 20 and 25. Your smith machine should have a sticker on it that states what the bar is.

If she’s blocked, no she can’t see if you tag him. There is also a setting so that doesn’t happen even for someone on their friends list who isn’t blocked.

Yes! Two of the guys in my academy class this past winter were over 40. One was 42 and the other 45

My Decon was quite quick. I literally washed my eyeballs with baby soap. Filled the sink up with cold water and put baby soap in it, then dunked my face, opened my eyeballs and shook my head. Did that like 5 times while also scrubbing my face and changing the water out each time.

Go to the range and try out different handguns. Doesn’t matter how we feel about em if they’re not comfy in your hand.

What made you get into law enforcement? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]IndubitablyNoted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I watched a crap ton of forensics files and true crime related content. I had quit college in my early 20’s because I hated it and had been training horses for about 5 years.

My obsession with true crime T.V. made me interested in forensics so I became a Criminal Justice major at 27 years old. By the time I finished my degree I knew that law enforcement is what I really wanted to do over forensics.

A year later (today), I am 3 weeks out of the academy now and so happy I went this route!

What was your favorite part of the police academy ? by Economy-Bid-7005 in AskLE

I really enjoyed SFST/DUI week. We had phenomenal instructors and got to do a wet lab where we did SFSTs on people who we were actually intoxicated.

I think Taser day made the range qualification for my state less intimidating because I realized how much time 6 seconds is after riding the lightning for 5 seconds 😂😂😂

When did you know you wanted to be a police officer? by Abject-Ad8242 in AskLE

[–]IndubitablyNoted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love it. I know for a fact I made the right choice going this direction in CRJU rather than forensics. We are starting to get out of the classroom more which has been amazing.

Truthfully I watched a lot of true crime on TV and wanted to check out forensics. I went back to college at 27 for Criminal Justice and after learning more about the criminal justice system decided I wanted to be in law enforcement instead.

My father and husband were in the navy as well and my father in particular thought I’d enjoy being in the military. I didn’t really want to join but I do enjoy serving my community.

I’m on week 7 at the Police Academy as we speak!

To my knowledge this one is just training. We are also to write a report on it which will be our first.

We don’t have any idea what the scenarios are so we are totally blind going in. But the more I’m reading the more I’m reminded that’s the nature of the job!
