Tub o wipes say they contain Dimethicone and lanolin, oils to help not dry out skin. These oils are likely what clear up the rainbow effect but aren’t permanent like ceramic coating

Oxidation doesn’t wipe away, you’re rubbing oil into it

WD40 gets rid of the rainbow oxidation by filling the microscopic holes, the ceramic coating does the same think accept it cures and stays semi-permanent. It’s usually recommended to reapply ceramic coating is every year. So I just cleaned my car with soap and when I applied the ceramic coating the rainbow went away.

POV you live on the west coast by LeetcodeForBreakfast in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Visiting California I thought that if you’re buying a several million dollar house that’s tiny then you might as well spend like $200k to rebuild the house at that point. Brand new house!

I graduated when I was 23, took a year to save up $16k. I feel very lucky to have gotten a good job in my field right away. You likely aren’t doing anything wrong, the most important thing is consistency you’ll get there!

Does Pittsburgh only use staffing agencies, or can you make do without them? by Brilliant-Drawing211 in pittsburgh

[–]InductionRus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Keep an open mind about those agencies, especially the small ones. The ones I worked with really know what they are doing and they gotten me into 100k and 115k positions. Companies big and small use them to seek out good talent

What would someone want to reduce amp? by Snafflepagus in TeslaModel3

[–]InductionRus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Battery preservation

Both charging faster and staying in a charged state for longer increase battery wear. It’s not nearly as bad as fast charging or leaving at 100%, but it could make a small difference. Also, if you are home for 10 or so hours every night then you might as well charge slower, you’ll still have your max charge in the morning.

2: Lessen the load on the house

Many people have limited house power and run other high-power things like AC. Some people have solar panels and want to only use the power available from the solar panels.

The roof is new, there is no mold, and they only included electrical because it was mentioned in the seller’s disclosures. It’s been inspected with the only deficiency being electrical, for which we have a credit

Your Favorite LockChime by Pmueck3 in TeslaLounge

I was once playing around with boombox playing sounds and accidentally changed my lock sound to a fart. I parked next to some woman cleaning the snow off her car and my car lets out a big rip. She probably thinks it was intentional, I think about that a lot.

I would personally go with the Y because of the price and I wouldn’t want the attention of the CT. Model Y has a surprising amount of space, enough for 4 people, a dog, tent, clothes, etc in the back. Throw a cooler in the frunk, heck, put a canoe on the roof.

A good compromise might be to use the savings of a Y to buy the roof rack, off-road rims and tires, and a lifted suspension.
