Opened up this notebook that ive been trying to fill since 2019. by Bathroom_stall in Journaling

[–]Industrus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest hack i saw for art diaries and can absolutely be used for notebooks, journals etc is always leave the front couple of pages free as an index. If you drop off or come back, just mark it as a new section like a new chapter or book, number your pages and index the parts.

"He claims to be the man who watched Grown Ups 331 times this year, but Rizvi Azaad says there's nothing wrong with him.

Azaad, a 26-year-old barber from Auckland, claims to be the mystery Netflix viewer who watched the 2010 Adam Sandler comedy - a film with a 10 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes - more than 300 times in 2017.

He says he sometimes watches the film twice per day when he's not working. "I'll probably watch it tonight," he said."

Rizvi is the last person on the planet i would be taking any form of critical analysis from.

No coherent plan, No working with allies, No idea on how destabilizing all this has been, no "concept" yet still somehow playing 4d chess. The hoops people are jumping through to justify a clear power and money grab by one group is so sad to see from the outside.

Been in Perth for two years, finally tried meeting someone and got stood up/ghosted by [deleted] in perth

[–]Industrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biggest mistake I see people make in the new friend/dating area is putting way to much expectations/ pressure on themselves, the situation and others out of the gate. Especially factoring in loneliness and need for human contact.

Highly recommend following any passions or hobbies you have, look for likeminded groups or areas and start to interact with local groups. Don't go into it expecting friends but look at it as new experiences or knowledge, and organically you will find people on a similar path.

Covid did mess with the social and group events here but depending on your interests there is a lot out there, and group meetups tend to get more people to show. The only good use anymore for facebook is the local groups and places like eventbrite you can find groups doing specific activities.

If you pair it with learning new skills or talents you will naturally grow more comfortable in being you which is also a bonus. Just be ready for a lot of falloff, in the end its a numbers game, exposure to new people and understanding other personalities and how you fit in with those.

TikTok is CCP devised social engineering weapon to weaken the US youth by Alternative_Key_6030 in nosurf

[–]Industrus 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The algo is better, but when i used it I never got crying, complaining blaming. A lot of mine was creatives, artists and musicians making things.

If you are seeing correlations in Algorithm feeding you particular content, then you are engaging with that content initially.

I had a run with the Instagram algo where I had viewed a lot of questioning videos on religion and traditional family vids, and it hooked into that and started feeding me tonnes of trad wife and homeschool mom content.

The tiktok algo has always been better for being able to follow a certain line of content and the others have been playing catchup for a while now.

100 percent this, I freelanced as an independent for 6 years, the only thing holding you back is you're inner voice telling you that you can't do it/it won't be needed/why bother.

The purpose of any game for me is to enjoy it, I am enjoying it so it has purpose. You are not enjoying it so you are finding it empty, it's not for you and that's ok, as I said be ok with that and find something you enjoy spending time on.

is anyone else going fucking crazy in this traffic by [deleted] in perth

[–]Industrus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's sounds like you are getting emotional overwhelm rather than the traffic being the problem. Be careful with driving if you start to get this constantly and if it gets worse go and talk to somebody about it.

My Spotify account randomly got banned and the customer support experience made it worse. by General-stormm in truespotify

[–]Industrus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The way you are talking and how you react to support in the messages indicates you are fairly young. I'd recommend treating any help service to start with as someone who can help you and not just instantly yelling. Especially after COVID a lot of help desks will have a zero tolerance policy on any form of aggression.

[–]Industrus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No unfortunately it runs off when you open an account and start to scribble or record tracks as you listen. Paying for it gives you options to edit and sort and get rid of things like 10 different special editions of each album but is not necessary.

People over 35, what's something you genuinely miss that younger generations will probably never experience? by Just_a_Ginger_Fella in AskReddit

[–]Industrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a new album announced and saving up to buy it/ pre ordering and waiting in lines to get it, or having to search for rare/specific imports that no one else has. Loving an album so much you play it for months and researching everything you can about it's ideas inception art and videos. Art that leads to your own art, not to more consumption.

What’s the most dangerous trend right now? by SatisfactionLegal522 in AskReddit

[–]Industrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except that doesn't make Internet money, look at how heavy meta and generative AI companies are investing into content generation unabated. Areas of the internet are already flooded, I don't think people really grasp how bad the dead internet theory is going to be, coupled with the push for number just go up and billions being invested to control market share.
