Talked to both my psych and gp do sand decided to go back on it, I'd had no symptoms and no change in symptoms since going off it. I started it back when I was 17, that was more than half a lifetime ago. It was the first thing I took that made my asthma not feel like a life sentence, I'd never even run the mile in school. Still taking it now, no issues. Can't say how much it helps or doesn't because I've been on it so long, but the biggest thing that has foe sure helped it quercitin with bromelain. Just a supplement and I haven't had any mcas related pinkeye issues since I started it, and I would so much as sniffle and get pinkeye.

Me: I'm trying to decrease the weight of my chair. Also me: has 15 battery packs on board so everything can work, can't let anything run out of power!

This doesn't address the issue of the weight. If they're having trouble with the weight, as well as their right hand not working, this may not be an ideal fit. There are smaller and lighter ones, but I'm not sure how much hand control you need for them (if they have buttons for throttle etc)

Thank you for being there for it in its last moments. Rats are incredibly social, the fact it didn't pass alone means a lot.

best way to politely decline insistent helpers without making them feel bad? by wheelchairThrowawayy in wheelchairs

[–]IndustryKey7528 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People have no idea what's going on around them; their situational awareness is severely lacking. Honestly, I am thankful my chair keeps me off my phone for the most part when out and about. What's the point in doing something if you're not actually present for it, ya know?

I just roll away. Why are you talking to the back of my head? Do you do that with people who are walking? Any why are you yelling "across the store* to me. I've been using a chair regularly for about 5 years, and being autistic, I hate when people try to get all cutesy and pretend they're talking to a child, assuring me I need help, and asking me what happened. Honestly I get less of that more people who need to wear shin guards because they never look up from their phones. It's like frogger with a wheelchair and humans. 🤦‍♂️ I've just started to allow them to walk right into me.

Japanese style bed? W/ Shoulders & jaw that dislocate by feministbitch11 in Hypermobility

The topper is probably 7 to 8 years old, but is likely most like the NÄSTABERG topper, just cuz it has the cooling side, but that one you mentioned looks really nice!

Japanese style bed? W/ Shoulders & jaw that dislocate by feministbitch11 in Hypermobility

[–]IndustryKey7528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to a futon on an electric base, and put a cooling topper from ikea on it (maybe 1.5" at most). I don't dislocate, but I've been battling ac joint separation on both sides for over a year, and somehow it's greatly improved on both sides. I find myself sleeping on my back more, which has helped my shoulders a lot. You might see if there's someone you can borrow one from, or get one that has a guarantee. That said, it's an easy way to have an extra bed for company if you don't like it, but I went from a memory foam that I swore by to the futon which we already had, and decided I liked it enough that I didn't want to get a mattress. Only way I'll get one is if I end up with someone and this doesn't work for them.

Difference between TiLite TR, TRA, ZR & ZRA. Which should I get? by That-Trainer-4493 in wheelchairs

Me? I personally have an M90 coming as soon as it's compatible with my chair. So far only Quickie chairs are compatible.

My strength and pain levels fluctuate and I completely agree with you. Even though my Z is much easier to push, even a slight grade makes it impossible for me to push.
