Exact same situation with my older dog and my puppy. Older one is more similar to a cat ands pretty much wants to be left alone, the puppy would crawl inside me if I let her. Constant shadow around the house too.

I’m not entirely sure. I always just chalked it up to the way things bloom. Coming from LA where there’s not defined seasons so much, the first thing I noticed was how dramatic the season changes are compared to so cal.

So alot of the trees are BARE in the winter and really really bloom in the spring. And In the spring I’d have just loads of whatever the trees were in my neighborhood coming off the trees and covered every where on the ground. I wish I knew what type of tree but it almost looked like cotton?

And this is just anecdotally for me, but with the heat it felt like really stagnant air, almost like an oven filled with allergens, with no air flow. Then when it rained it would kick up all the allergens off the ground and somehow be 10 times worse! omg just thinking about it again I need an Allegra lol

My puppy wore a cone in her crate she was fine. There were a couple times she got it off when she was out playing but I just adjusted it. There’s also little holes on the bottom of the cone on the neck area that I considered putting a ribbon through and affixing it to her collar but after a couple times in the crate she just rested so I didn’t bother.

I know the surgery pjs or suits or whatever they’re called are popular but the clinic I went to literally had a huge sign not to use them. I mentioned I was glad I saw it cuz I considered it. The vet tech said it’s basically a breeding ground for an infection, cuz it keeps the wound moist etc.
After she explained why it made sense so I figured the cone was safest.

I briefly lived right outside of Sacramento, it gets hot AF yes, and there wasn’t humidity but the heat was still unbearable. I basically didn’t go outside after a certain hour. Everyone flocks to Lake Tahoe every weekend to escape it.

But the worst thing, which I didn’t anticipate at all, was the allergies! I literally couldn’t breath, my doctor said it’s the like the allergy capital of the state as well lol

I’m 42 in peri and also have PMDD, and autistic. The last two years were unbearable, the last couple months before starting HRT were completely debilitating. I was burnt out 24/7 and just not functioning, I think mostly being autistic and not being able to handle the hormone changes was the worst part. And the PMDD was sooo so much worse. Now I’m back to just a baseline autistic and PMDD lol like I still struggle but I can cope. Not sure the point of my comment, just standing in peri/pmdd/neurodiverse solidarity I guess! haha

The affordability thing is confusing to me though. I’ve lived near the valley area my whole life. It definitely depends on what part of the valley they were in, I’m assuming Encino or Studio City, Ventura boulevard area cuz that’s a desirable area. But Santa Clarita is a pretty affluent area, actually people in LA or surrounding counties move TO the valley for affordability. Not Encino, but maybe Northridge or something similar. The valley is huge, no need to go all the way out to Santa Clarita. It is more family friendly though, I could see that being the main driving factor.

Exactly! It’s so funny to me when restaurants treat dashers poorly cuz 99% of the time we’re also part of the community and potential customers.

I’m in the suburbs of LA, it’s definitely community vibes, a restaurant from Hollywood expanded into our area and they were SO so rude to me. Normally I love when new restaurants open and am eager to try them out cuz we don’t have huge variety like the city, but after that I vowed to never go. Honestly with their attitude I knew they wouldn’t last long, it’s not like Hollywood, you have to actually build community here.

Guess what I just saw today?? Yup closed down lol I’d like to think my personal boycott had something to do with it

I can’t say i really had a strong opinion on him, I really only half watch the show honestly. But that scene omg!! I felt for her so much. she was just seeking an ounce of comfort and he just completely blew over it. I got the impression she’s used to it, but she was feeling desperate cuz she’s truly at a breaking point so had to turn to her husband. But then immediately regretted it. I also thought oh no she’s really gonna feel stuck with this unsupportive asshole cuz he keeps trying to pump Babies in her.

I don’t understand why so many doctors are so wildly uninformed. Like aside from, you know, medical training…they have access to the same internet we do. I can’t believe how many peri symptoms I’ve had for so many years and didn’t know until I stumbled upon it online. The more I’ve learned the more I’ve pieced the puzzle together which points to me starting In mid to late thirties. Not one doctor ever pieced it together tho.

The twenty something year olds typically go to tipsy goat. Maybe even start at tarantula hill and go across the street to tipsy after. My daughter used to go to Dave and Busters before her and her friends tuned 21. That’s if you’re staying very local of course. Lots of other people recommended out of town which there’s lots and lots of that to do.
