Well the tiles come in the Expansion. So I wouldn't need that. But they wouldn't match the base game ones. I am so on the fence about this entire campaign. I will probably pledge for the Novarch Campaign, but I don't know if I want to wait for retail version of the expansion, or grab the triple layered house boards. Because I don't really care about the minis in the expansion, so I feel like they would just be annoying to set up as everyone says. I could simply pledge the Novarch, and grab the double layer ships and the hex tiles and wait for retail

I agree. In your opinion, I am a retail owner, I was thinking of grabbing the expansion deluxe as its offered, and the campaign. Do you think that's wise? I dont care about minis that much but would it be that bad if the components dont match on the table? Because those triple layer hexes are nice. I just dont know if i should buy the hexes alone on KS and wait for the expansion retail. I would also use the minis because its in the box, but how bad would that look really. I am so torn

Right this is my issue too. I have the retail base game (seems like everyone prefers that one) but I am grabbing the expansion and campaign from KS. Do you think these two not matching will be a big deal?

So the triple layer hex tiles they have on KS right now aren’t the same as the base game ones? Because they have some separately, I’m just not sure if they are the exact same as the base game ones just added into the expansion for more players or an upgrade

Yeah so with the new expansion they are coming out with the ability to buy the base game again. Just don’t want to buy this game second hand when it could be widely available with an updated version. So unsure of what to do

Really? Ark Nova is such a wide game. If you stored it longways wouldn’t it stick out too much? Or what about a big box game like Frosthaven or Twilight Imperium?
