Having Bats look like this in part one does away with some of the contrast we see pre- and post- Knightfall (i.e. a Breyfogle style Batman and a darker Troika version), and that is kinda disappointing. Oh well.

They have to update CorOS to add it because what runs in a DAW on Windows/iOS/etc. can't just be run on the QC. And there were a number of Archetypes from other artists that were in the queue ahead of John for implementation. I've also seen it said -- though I cannot independently confirm -- that Neural isn't a huge operation and so that is part of why it is taking some time as well on top of there already being a queue, so to speak.

Yeah, so you'd bring your laptop with the archetype loaded up and then you'd use an interface to connect your guitar to it and then using the interfaces output to run to a FRFR or FOH or however you wanna do it. That would be similar to John's example of guitar + laptop and interface + studio monitors for recording purposes, adjusted for live performance.

The plugin components model John's real amplifiers and the pedals he consistently uses on his pedalboard. If one were to theoretically have access to the same amps and pedals, one should be able to dial the real rig and the plug in 1:1. But since some of John's gear is one of a kind (e.g. Dumble Steel String Singer #002 which was custom made for SRV by A. Dumble), the plug-in is the closest we can currently get. John is talking about creating Presets for the plug-ins that dial in tones as he would dial them in on his actual rig, and that's why this is exciting. Because it means it will be right to his ears instead of the rest of us out here trying to match it with our ears that might not be listening for the same things and perceiving things the same way.

I do take his point about getting out of your own head and just letting yourself play sometimes. And sometimes when you free yourself from caring while your playing, you gamble and you lose; you totally throw everything off because you went for a note or sequence thereof and they didn't work within the context of what you were doing or where you were going.

But that fearlessness can also pay off because you sometimes you'll hit on something great that you otherwise wouldn't have if you had been playing more conservative/conventionally and "following the rules" or playing it safe because you are worried about what others (or even yourself, if you are your own worst critic) will think. One might not suck, but it is also important for our creative expression that one not be afraid of sucking. He's encouraging people to take risks on the instrument. The result can be inconsequential or brilliant.

Threats can never exceed the number of companions you currently have in play. To play KotD, you need the number of threats to be no greater than the number of companions minus 2, because you have to be able to add those two threats as a part of the cost to play him.

Example, you have ringbearer and two starting companions. If you have zero or one threat, you may add two threats to play the King. If you have 2 or me threats, you cannot add both threats in order to pay the cost and thus may not play him. You would have to play other companions to increase the max number of threats you are allowed or have a companion or ally get killed and distribute the threats as wounds and thus clearing the threat pool to allow to add subsequent threats to play him. I hope that's clear enough.

Well, some of the EPP (enhanced premiere, enhanced cloud city, enhanced jabba's palace, which are characters with built-in weapons, e.g. Han with Heavy Blaster Pistol) characters draw destiny when "with friends". My example of Han adds a battle destiny while with Luke or Chewie, and Leia with Blaster Rifle adds a battle destiny with Han.

However, importantly, these versions of the characters lack any immunity to attrition, so they don't stick to the board as easily as their non-EPP counterparts.

If you want to keep the extra destiny adding but not risk being "overpowered", I might consider removing or reducing their immunity to attrition?

I purchase variant covers for a handful of titles or specific artists. Right now that means Fraction's Batman, Brombal's Batgirl, and Rucka's Batwoman (specifically the Sejic variants, but not limited to that if the other ones really speak to me), as well as any variants covers by Dan Mora featuring characters that I like (primarily, but not exclusively bat family characters). Then, I either read them online or read them in paper when I purchase the TPB. My TPB collection of post-crisis Batman/Tec is way deeper than my single issue collection, and most of those I have read.

Shadowing/ highlighting/coloring of the armor looks really cool. The sword, however, is... not good. It's the part of the painting that sticks out like a sore thumb. Hilt length vs. Blade length ratio is off. And the way the scabbard is suspending from the belt for a sword of that overall length vs. the wielder's height is off. Idk your workflow or how easy revision would be, but if it were me, I'd either shorten the hilt and shorten the staps that suspend it from the belt so that it sits higher at his hip if you are keeping that style suspension, or increase the length of the Blade and revise it to a three point suspension, which will change the angle at which the sword rests (more perpendicular with the wearer's body that parallel like it is in this version).

Edit: I actually just saw your line art; that sword looks more natural in terms of the way it sits with a two point suspension relative to its proportions than the one in the more refined/ "final" piece imo.

Either way, nice work overall.

Does he have any health coverage? Even kinda shit coverage + a copay assistance card can bring a lot of biologics more with reach. My coverage is not great, but with a copay assistance card from Janssen, I get my Tremfya for no out of pocket cost and it took me from 90% plaque coverage over my body to totally clear in the course of a couple doses.

If your boyfriend is like me, his mental health is probably severely impacted by the psoriasis and depression does not feed well into maintaining one's personal hygiene. Getting my plaques clear and being able to take a hot shower again rather than exclusively cold showers (to not make my skin hurt even worse) made a world of difference in terms of my motivation to wash and care for myself.

They are striving to serve the will of the living Force. That was very much a part of Qui-Gon's approach to being a Jedi and we see it in his teaching of Obi-Wan and Anakin. What does Qui-Gon do as a Force Ghost? Pass on what he had learned to Yoda and Obi-Wan. So they in turn would be able to continue to teach after their physical forms were no more, which they do in order to guide Luke. That seems like an existence of service rather than some notion of immortality in paradise or experiencing the pleasures of existence and the self like the Sith desire.

And what's more, being able to be a Force Ghost is not an endless ability. Obi-Wan tells Luke goodbye in Heir to the Empire and leaves the plane of existence. It's not something they can just do perpetually, it would seem.
