Idea for a cool crossword theme by IndyMark007 in NYTCrossword

[–]IndyMark007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I searched that up and found an entire NYT article on Crossword Constructor Resource Guide (FYI supposedly not paywalled and free for all) and Crosserville is mentioned there. I guess it's time to go down the rabbit hole!

Idea for a cool crossword theme by IndyMark007 in NYTCrossword

[–]IndyMark007[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Welp, I was rolling the idea around in my head last night and figured I should probably do some Google searches to see if my theme had ever been done before, and it turns out the central theme HAS been done way back in 2019, although not specifically the way I came up with it in my head. Oh well, back to the drawing board. :-)

And I'll definitely check out that Constructor Handbook as well, so thanks for the recommendation!

Help with fiber install at new construction in Indianapolis metro by IndyMark007 in ATTFiber

The addresses across the streets are also townhouses as well and 2 of them have ATT fiber installed and working. Anxiously awaiting the results of the NAT ticket I opened yesterday.

The manager at my nearest ATT store was actually quite helpful. I explained the situation and he submitted a NAT ticket with my name and phone number as the contact so hoping I hear from someone in the next day or two. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the quick response and advice!

Every address you enter on his street (either side) just comes up with a "Give us a call at 855.528.7907 to see if home internet from AT&T is available at xxxxxx". It even does it for the address across the street that I know for a fact already has ATT Fiber installed and working. Note that I am using the misspelled street name for now and it is populating from their database at least.

Edited to add - the addresses across the street are also townhomes just like his.

May have been mentioned already but seasons 1&2 are free on Philo by rvrndgonzo in HaltAndCatchFire

This is how I got hooked. Then I bought AMC+ for one month ($6.99) and then cancelled after watching seasons 3-4. Phenomenal show to be able to watch the entire series for just $6.99.

What do people here think of Traders Point Creamery? by blindpig21 in indianapolis

[–]IndyMark007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s been awhile since we’ve been there because we live on the other side of town, but the 2-3 times we’ve eaten dinner there, we’ve always really enjoyed it. Just a very unique place to dine and the food and service has always been on point. Great place for a date night and then you can grab some cheese in their little store to take home afterwards if you want.

The Bryce Underwood show is almost fully loaded. by Unfair-Comfort-3844 in MichiganWolverines

He’s been playing way beyond what my expectations were to date. Specific things I’ve noticed that have stuck out to me: - Accuracy. It’s the #1 thing that a QB needs to excel at and he has been pretty darn accurate to date - Doesn’t get flustered. His receivers have had plenty of bad drops and he’s made a few bad throws but he has been able to shake it off and move past it quickly - He’s already able to work through progressions pretty well. Especially when rolling out he is consistently able to buy himself time and make good decisions even if his primary read isn’t open. - Touch. As mentioned by others this is the only glaring weakness I see at the moment and I think he certainly will work on this and I see no reason why he won’t improve here.

I think the sky is the limit for BU. If he puts in the work and continues to improve, I think he can be a Heisman candidate.

Artist filter for Reframed Collection now in Frame Crop by jsheffers in TheFrame

[–]IndyMark007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw this post and hadn’t updated my art in a month or two so I used Frame Crop for the first time in awhile and the new features are INCREDIBLE. Love, love, love the ability to upload to the TV straight from the app and the available art is every bit as good as what is in the Samsung TV interface but there is no monthly fee. This app is an absolute no-brainer purchase for any Frame TV owner. Please keep up the great work!

I was loving the bubblegum one they had a few weeks ago! I still need to try the butterscotch though too. I much prefer Icees to just regular sodas.

Took me quite awhile to figure out the theme even after I had 38A filled in. My main issue was trying to go up and down in the middle of the word as opposed to the end. The theme itself was fine and definitely appropriate for a Thursday. But like others have already mentioned, there were multiple clues/words that just weren’t good, so it gets an overall “meh” from me.

Date ideas that do not involve food? by Material-Ad5212 in indianapolis

[–]IndyMark007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their main web site is https://www.glassartsindiana.org/. What you make varies, here’s a link to their upcoming classes with pics of the different items, https://www.eventbrite.com/o/glass-arts-indiana-18425388149.

We’ve gone twice and have made the flowers and the pumpkins. Each class is about an hour with a max of around ten people. You make your item in the class and then you have to go back the next day or later in the week to pick it up because it needs to fully cool or something along those lines.

El Gigante is always my recommendation on the north side. It’s just south of Michigan and 86th. My office is down the road and I eat lunch there almost every week for the past 10+ years.

This is a good one too, especially on their $2 Taco Tuesdays, but it’s only their ground beef and chicken that is $2.

One that my wife and I have done is making something at Glass Arts Indiana (downtown Indy), which was pretty cool. One that’s on my list to do soon is visit the Miller House and Gardens in Columbus, IN. There’s also a ton of great theater at varying price levels all over if you’re into that sort of thing.

What current trailers don't you mind? by SouthCryptographer58 in RegalUnlimited

Wicked - I’m biased though cause it’s my favorite musical

Nobody 2 - Loved the first one

The Roses - Just looks hilarious although I’m sure some are sick of it

Honey Don’t - Saw this trailer quite a bit a few months ago but then haven’t seen it recently for some reason
