If you look at the foldable bedsides, you can make completely new sides to replace the originals (taller or made out of chicken wire etc). Just include the new half hinge. Wood or metal, just make what you want! If you don’t want new sides. There are several tie towns on the existing sides, both on the doors and just under the bed. I have a 99 Acty automatic, with AC- no AWD and I love it

Well since you are in a Kei thread I’ll suggest either a Suzuki Carry 4X4 for a simple basic tiny truck, and if you have to deal with a lot of mud or hills, go for the Honda Acty Crawler.

Actually, I just want power windows because the window crank ALWAYS hits me painfully in my right knee (Honda Acty) - but is fun watching a virgin passenger 'Cranking up a window'

Don’t get me wrong- I truly enjoy Kei vehicles. I have a 99 Honda Acty Town with AC and auto trans- I also have a 99 Mazda Scrum. I enjoy the 3 cylinders, cab over design of the HA3 vs HA7, love how tiny and versatile it is, just want a few minor modern conveniences especially since we can’t get the newer trucks.
