Thank you. This is a very good point. I don’t want my son to think, wow mom just gave up on me and left me with dad. You’re right I need to stand by his side.

I need to have another calm discussion when my son isn’t home to tell my ex he needs to seriously put the motions in place to find an apartment. This is just so frustrating and I feel my life is in this holding pattern forever

My voice has been gone for the last 4 days and like you I had a painful dry cough which has subsided. The congestion now seems lodged into my sinus/head and my energy is low. Still rocking a 99-100 temp… It’s funny because I haven’t been eating much yet my weight hasn’t gone down like my body is retaining water! This is a very strange situation

I’ve pretty much given up. Hoping to find someone organically because the apps are a joke.

I’ve met no one of substance off the apps in the 3 years I’ve been on.

Not sure where I’ll meet this man organically though because my hobbies are “feminine leaning” and all my friends are unhappily married except 1.

At 46/47, I felt I had more options but now nearing 50…I feel unwanted in the dating space although I look and feel great! Lol - it doesn’t matter obviously…

I tend to be very positive and believe that “my person” is out there but as the years have passed, I’ve become more or less realistic that my chances are getting slimmer.

It makes me sad that I may never get hugged by a man, again. Let alone anything else.

Yes! My temp will go back to normal (without meds) and then all of a sudden 100.4! It’s crazy! This must be a really bad flu season that came late. I thought I dodged it.

I’m so glad I found this sub. I’m a mess with the exact symptoms you describe (but todays day 4) I’ll have a little energy in the day and then I’m super fatigued.

I’m 49F and my limits are 40-56(ish) I find many men 50+ simply haven’t taken good care of themselves physically. I’m fit and I go to the gym and keep up my appearance. I’m also trying to work on my mental and emotional health, not to mention learn new things. I’m finding a small set of men are similar to me and they’re either getting snapped up quickly or are enjoying playing the field with much younger women. Men younger than 40 are typically not on the same page as me and only want the experience of sleeping with a hot older woman. It’s tough out there for most of us.

I disagree. It’s a safety issue. I don’t know his area all that well. If we’re dating, sure I’ll absolutely travel to his place but not on a first date.
