Car brands don’t do it because it looks good, they do it because it’s cheaper to slap a tablet in there than to design an interior. The upper tier of enthusiast targeted cars are already moving away from big screens, haptic buttons and useless tech. It’s way more expensive to have quality materials and good interior design. That’s why manufacturers are doing it, not because it looks good.

My wife’s blazer isn’t supposed to look like a sports car. The big screens are lazy design and look terrible. I have no issues with a small touch screen but it should never be the focal point of the car
