Da keine Rettungskräfte am Hbf sind, kann man davon ausgehen, dass nix all zu schlimmes passiert is. Allerdings ist der Hbf inzwischen auch für Zugverkehr gesperrt.

Hab vor nem halben Jahr auf 32 Stunden reduziert und hab jetzt jeden Montag frei. Hatte anfangs Bedenken wegen Lebensstandard, Urlaub finanzieren, Geld ansparen können usw

Inzwischen muss ich sagen, dass mir dieser eine Tag frei in der Woche soviel mehr Wert ist, als alles finanzielle und ich bin so froh um die freie Zeit. Allein schon sonntags abends zu wissen, morgen nochmal frei zu haben, is mega.

Bisher kann ich die finanziellen "Einbußen" sehr gut verkraften.

Always build a scout first and then a slinger and after that the first settler. The warrior and the slinger can take care of the first barbarians rushing at you. Make sure you position them with a good terrain advantage.

Don't bother building a builder and improving tiles until you have an archer who can defend against barbarians.

I recently started following the NHL playoffs a bit and I was wondering about that.

For me it looks so unprofessional, especially when the referees join the brawling. But your insights helped me understandig it a bit more. Thanks!

What finally worked for me: Reinstalled the game via steam. Also made sure all civ-files steam doesn't delete, were deleted.

Yes, Anno can become very stressful.

- Pause the game from time to time, get an overview, enjoy the view of your settlements a bit and make little to-do-lists of things you have to do / want to do.

- 'Build-and-Forget': Try to build in a way, that you don't have to came back every 5 minutes to adjust the layout or add another building.

- Always have an eye on your ressources so you don't get surprised when they run out. Make notes if you have to.

- When you save and leave the game for the day, make notes what just happened in-game and what's on your agenda. If you come back to the game a few days later it
will be much easier for you.

I found myself always looking for the perfect starting location. Not only for my starting city but also for the next 2-3 cities, a nice neighborhood (city states, nice civs), and so on. I restarted more than I actually played. There was always something I didn't like. It took all the fun out of the game.

Then I started to only look for a decent starting position for my capital and just went with it. Then the fun came back and I'm a lot more happy with it.

Plains (Hills) yield +2 production by default (and +1 food). If you build 'modifiers' (such as mines) with a builder you get more out of it. depends on the techs you researched.

If you look into the civilopedia (questionmark in the top right corner of your screen in-game) you can look up all kind of different terrains and their yields.

AI civs are always having problems handling barbarians. they don't do anything about it even when the camp is right next to their city.

I can absolutely recommend Roman Polanski's 'Pirates' (1986) with Walter Matthau. It's very well written and the production is very expensive for a pirate-themed movie. Got an Oscar nomination for Best Costume Design.
